While I love being able to order from fastech with free shipping, let's face it, somebody's paying for the shipping. Right now, USPS is paying most of that cost. They're getting ripped off pretty bad. Trump is trying to fix that.

I usually try not to inject partisan politics here on ECF, but if you elect a :censored: clown, you should expect a :censored: circus.

None of the clowns running for President have been elected, they're just trying to get a nomination. The postal service is losing million on these sweetheart deals given to China for postal services, affecting not only the USPS but US businesses.

I bought a pair 'german developed" reading glasses that came mailed from China that cost $15 w/free shipping. They were awful. I contacted them and they offered a refund on return. It was going to cost me close to $40 to send them back. I ate the loss.

Thing is all these cheap china deals are putting our selfs out of work. We might love the free shipping and lower prices.
But once all the high street shops are gone we are locked into to a monopoly
And no job to pay for anything,
No business can compete against the cheap sweat shop labour,
just increases job losses.

Exactly
Thing is many do not realise this.
if money is spent locally in just one shop by everyone they do there part for local economy,
that shop - owner or workers uses that money to pay wages or to buy in new stock from other local stores or local suppliers,
be it there dinner or other goods or services
then the money is circulated around Majority of that area benefits as its spread about.

Or you save a little money now by spending it overseas its fine if its only you
but when this is done on mass as it has been going lately they grow you decline

All that money incoming helps to builds up that countries economy
not your own
Yours will slowly start to decline as there's grows and grows off your money
until eventually your own work and investment dries up all to save a few quid.

In my opinion, people should buy their stuff wherever they want. The sticking point is that the mailing cost from China should not be subsidized by U.S. taxpayers. THAT is where the problem lies.
