Hi all. I had a big order and sadly (from USA to Canada) it was sent back to the seller. They sent an email saying that it is likely due to customs and that I'd get a refund, minus shipping + duties.
I was quite unhappy when I heard that news as it was a big order with excitement nearing that of a child's on Christmas morning. Sad day in the universe.
I had ordered 5 bottles of 100ml (6mg nic per gram) e-liquid with a mod kit that I'd wanted for over a year, along with 4 18650 batteries, a toolkit and other supplies. The cost with shipping came to $416.50 USD which is a lot to me personally, but that's how things go. C'est la vie, as the saying goes... that's life (or this is the life more literally).
I am at a loss as to why this could happen yet I suspect it is more than likely the e-liquid. Its cost alone is at least half of what it is here and on top of that recently this year we had a 20% hike on e-juice sale prices in Canada. I may just jump on the DIY bandwagon at this point.
Any thoughts? I'd ordered a mod from the UK once with no issues. I am hoping that I can at least re-order (after I get that refund) and try for at least the hardware. If that ends up having an issue I'd become the diametric opposite of a happy camper.
I apologize also for the (insert-poop-emoji) post. Bureaucracy is much to me like water is like to a cat. They should imo have more strict regulations on things that actually cause societal harm IMO. That said, I'm not too aware when it comes to customs and how some things cross the border while others do not.
I am grateful for your time reading this and my hope in the future is for more vaping freedoms. They shouldn't I feel treat these things (in terms of health) on par with all other nicotine products, I think.
Anyway, I'll leave it there lest I'll just be ranting.
