Those passthrough's are awful :). It's too easy for that little rubber cap to slide under the casing and they have a 4-5 second cut-off. I had to completely disassemble one and remount the switch the cap is mounted higher and doesn't slide under. I got mine from Heaven's Gifts for £6 just as a curiosity item since I built my own passthrough months ago and is still going strong. If I was going to pay out £19 I'd pay the extra and get a 'real' passthrough from e-cigs/puresmoker.

Hi Googled,

I don't know if you have the same type as mine? I have had no issues with the button - though I have only been using it for a few days. The button feels very solid - nice and clicky. I tried giving it an extra hard press and slide but I can't see how it would slide under? Guess you must have had a faulty one.

It does have a cut off - I took the largest draw I could then kept pressing the button and only then did the cut out kick in -just flashed for a couple of seconds and then I was able to take another draw.

I guess everyone uses ecig equipment differently but for my needs this product works absolutely fine.

I was originally tempted to buy one from EastMall but did'nt want to pay silly amounts for shipping and also if something does go wrong within the warranty period it is easier to sort with a UK based company.

Kula.

How did you build you own passthrough?

It's a very simple design, you need an old usb cable, a switch, a battery or atomizer casing and a battery connector. The negative connector from the usb cable is soldered to the case. The positive line is soldered to the switch and then another line from the switch to the centre of the battery connector.I drilled a hole in the side of the case for the cable and used resin to fix the switch at the base of the tube but originally I just bunged the switch and cable in the bottom since it was too late at night to drill.
