Vapemail shipping problem. Has anyone else had this happen?

I ordered a new sigelei mech on Monday, and got a shipping notice on Tuesday morning. The tracking info has said "electronic shipping info received" since then, with no movement. I'm wondering if the vendor actually shipped the item. I sent him an email yesterday afternoon, and he said that the USPS are not the best package scanners, and to give it time. I've never had it go this long without SOME kind of update. I didn't buy insurance for it, because it's only a $30 mod, but I hope I didn't get ripped off. The vendor seems reputable, and I know others have ordered from them/him. Frustrated.

relax, the vendor has it right. lately my tracking info has been screwed up. sometimes it shows a delivery date two days prior and it is still in some other city. sometimes nothing at all and it's at my p.o. box. I know it's vape mail but give it time- it'll get there.

I'd rather not call the vendor out by name. We'll just say they sell a lot of Sigelei mechs.

I deal with priority mail in business
and have a lot of vapemail
I can tell you once in a while something strange happens I had one that did not update till it was at my door
another I sent to a customer showed delivered but he did not get till the next day

keep in mind if they did not ship they cant say you got it if there's no update
I doubt that is what's happened
Although I do know how frustrating it can be when you anticipating a new toy

I recently had a similar experience with USPS. A 2 day priority mail package took 12 days to get to me. The tracking showed the package had been picked up immediately from the vendor but then they just kept scanning at the same location then, then nothing, then it showed up at my door without any further tracking progress.

It should be fine. I've also had packages sit for days at that same status and then magically appear from out of nowhere. It's probably an issue on USPS's end.

my post office told me that although we all call it a tracking #, it is really just a confirmation # that it was mailed. apparently that is how they get out of actually tracking the thing promptly!

And USPS was on such a hot streak! I was really starting to be impressed with their service, until my last two shipments. Last time it took a whole 24 hours before an update. This time, 48 hours and still nothing.

I've just heard horror stories, and got scared that I'd never get my toy. :-(

Hopefully it'll get here tomorrow with my other shipment from another vendor. Wish me luck!

Don't worry - yet. I've had packages delivered before the tracking has been updated so it appeared that the item was still sitting at the post office closest to where it was shipped. I never start worry about packages until after 14 days or so for US packages. Out of country shipping takes longer, of course.

I've had USPS tracking never update until the day I got it, it would go from "electronics info received" to "out for delivery", with noting in between. USPS is absolutely horrible at tracking, so I never trust it, lol.

Thanks everybody! I needed the support. I just checked the tracking, and my package MIRACULOUSLY found its way to my local PO. Sheesh. It was almost wailing and gnashing of teeth time!

I know the feeling, I ordered a mech from a vendor in China back on Sept 2nd, and still cannot track it. Emails to the vendor go unanswered. It will prolly arrive at some future point.

FWIW-usps is breaking in a new system for tracking and is taking awhile to work out the kinks(surprise, surprise). some of the routing is messed up also, so things may take longer but they still should arrive o.k.

I received a package from fasttech last week. I had been checking the status like ten times a day, and nothing had been updated since it was processed in HK. So after I got home and found it, I checked and all of a sudden there were all the updates where it had been received in San Fran, arrived in Texas, arrived in Wyle (near Dallas), and delivered to my home. That is unusual though. Most times it works the way it's supposed to.
