I'm really starting to get sick of the vaping community. If your not walking around with a 400+$ setup then your not worth talking to. This is even spilling into the b&m stores here in Boise. I see it everywhere online, in the forums, you name it. at what point did it go from, "i'm quitting smoking!" To ,"I just spent 600 on this mechanical which makes me better than you."

im rockin a cheap setup, nobodys bustin my chops.. i certainly dont care what other people use, as long as they are stayin away from analogs. and ive never seen anyone on here get like that, ofcourse i dont read every thread so im not sayin it doesnt happen.

as far as im concerned, only one thing matters and if people want to spend, what is in my opinion, way too much then whoopty do. and if someone uses a cheaper system, whoopty do.

you cant get mad at the whole community for what the elitist a-holes say/do. they are there and arent leaving. there is that type of person in every community.

rant over.

But that's true for most things too. Ie cars, TVs, game systems and on and on. Sorry you feel that way. Just try not to ans be proud you have what works for you and not smoking. Personally I think over spending and having to have more then on needs to show off is sad and a sign of low self esteem. But I'm also cheap and proud of of.
One does get rich spending money one doesnt have to.
Of you try to keep up with the Jones, in the end you will have what the Jones have. A load of debt.

We could see who has the most boring setup.

I use an Echo automatic with an eGo-C atomizer. I only drip, only use autos and only vape menthol. :D

Sounds rather Manly actually. :D

You can vape and have both hands free to, oh I don't know, wrestle bears perhaps?

:D

On the topic; it is the same way with motorcycles. I currently have a Harley. I wanted it so I bought it. I've had other bikes that weren't a Harley. Occasionally I get some grief from riders of other brands. meh! whatever. At the end of the day I'm still enjoying my ride. And either with my Twist or little Ego or my eVic I'm still enjoying my vape.

Vape on!

Sounds like someone has been hanging with the wrong crowd.

We have beginners, that use whatever they find
We have elitist that MUST have the best.........though few agree on what is.
Then we have the rest of us that love Vaping and play with everything that comes out.

You are welcome to hang with all of us :)

I'm not quite sure the OP's post is accurate - most of the cool stuff is made by modders that experimented on low budgets until they got what worked for them. I know people that put LEDs in tanks and make their own devices - in fact Provari can thank their lucky stars someone chopped up a flashlight and put a connector on top!

I think if people belittle your vaping gear then they are people you don't really want to be with anyway. I have started friends of mine (odd - but yes i have a few) on Egos and so on, because they are reliable. And cheap.

If you are skilled enough - you can make your own anyway, out of an old box and things lying around. My suggestion: show them your chest X-ray when you have been vaping a year! :)

I'm really starting to get sick of the vaping community.

And you're here... why? Low nic level?

Why do you even let such an issue initiate a negative post? Pull up your vaping pants, suck up some nic and relax!

BTW, no, I do not own a Provari...

There may be a small minority that are hobbists but most only buy something better in order to have a more consistent and less hassle vaping experience. The Vamo for example has most of the "high end" features you could want on a PV and it costs $27 - $39 depending on where you get it. In an industry as new as vaping, it's normal to have a greater degree of invention in the beginning.

And if you had started vaping back in 2009, you would have been crying for "bigger & better" like the rest of us. You had it easy in comparison.
