So my Vapversary was last Thursday and I treated myself to a new Reo! It came in today and im still excited! Fellow Reonauts I would like you to meet R2!!

After I bought it I lucked up and was able to score an Odin! Im still waiting on it to arrive, so I'm cuttung my dual coil teeth on the igo-w that came with the Reo.

I built a 1.0 ohm dual coil but the lowest nic mg I have is 12mg and it almost put me down. I just slapped a 1.3 ohm single coil on it till I can get some more juice in a lower mg. I think I may widen out the air holes a bit too. They are woefully small (smaller than the rm2) and its making the hit a little harsh.

Any tips for the igo-w or dual coil/juice mg in general?

Stellar, ckquatt :toast:

... or rather, interstellar - that door looks like a portal to the cosmos.

As for duals and juice, it's subjective (and relative). Generally, the higher the yield from a draw, the less nic concentration you'll want/need. Direct lung inhales in particular, I find, can put a wallop on your head, so I generally go for a smooth flavoured juice with a dual setup at about half the nic level that I'd use in a single coil RM2. With a M2L atty, like the RM3 using duals, I don't tend to step the nic down.

i drilled my igo-w4 holes out to 1/16" and it makes for a smoother vape with duals but doesn't compromise the flavour. I have 6 wraps of (can't remember - but 30g kanthal maybe) and it measures 0.57Ω.

It's a good vape, but what i miss compared to my other atties is some air-flow control. It's a good atty to learn and practise on and it's not hard to make coils for it.

Like that blue metallic paint.

Congrats ckquatt nice looking juice box . I am not a dual coil guy I am sure one of the jedi masters will be along . Opening the air holes will certainly help reduce the throat hit
I'm certinly not either! I did open up one of the air holes to 1/16th. and it made a world of difference for a single coil. I blocked the other one off with a piece of tape till I can find an ohm that I like. 12 mg on a 1 ohm dual coil sucked! But I think it hmay have had more to do with the air flow.

I love that color combo!!!!
Thanks from a fellow Star Wars super fan!! I'm trying to find a paint to paint the button cover blue to match the door. My wife does a lot of art with acrylic paints bit it didn't work at all. I'm going to Hobby Lobby and try to find some other type of paint that will adhere better to the aluminum.

Thanks ST! My main problem with the atty is that the post screws were cutting all my wires when I would tighten the posts down to hard. I dug around a little bit and saw to finger tighten only and it worked much better. The first one I built was 30g, I forgot how many wraps, but it ended up being 1 ohm. (pre-airhole widening) and it hit like a freight train on 12 mg Nicoticket Strawnilla. I ditched that build and built my usual 1.1 ohm coill (8 wraps 28g) single coil that I use for 12mg juices until I can get it sorted out. Drilling out that one air hole and taping the other made it tons better almost on par with the RM2.

I think I'm going to start buying 6 mg from now on. I still have tons of 18 I'm trying to burn though but everything I've bought the last month or two has been 12mg. In my Reo is NT juice at all times, so I think that's about as smooth flavored as you can get IMHO. My copper vein is always running a 'nilla flavor. (Frenilla, Strawnilla, CLS etc) and I WAS going to use R2 to vape Boba's Bounty (in keeping with the Star Wars theme) but I think I may blow my socks off with a dual coil at 12 mg.

When I get home from work today I'm going to drill the other air hole out and try again to see if more air will calm the TH enough to be vapable. I don't mind a strong TH ( I used to smoke Lucky Strikes for years and Marlboro Reds before going to Marlboro Lights for the last 7 years of my smoking life) but it was HARSH! It made me cough a lot and felt like I got the wind knocked out of me. (much like the Fogger v4 I bought. I quickly put that thing back in the vape drawer to be sold in the classies)

Thanks for all the help guys and the good words!! Rob did an excellent job of getting me just what I wanted It looks and feels fantastic! I didn't realize how good the LP with a 22mm atty looks in real life! Pics of it DO NOT do this thing justice!! I keep picking it up every now and then and just staring at it like I'm 5 years old on Christmas morning!

If you guys think of anything else just let me know. I'll post up when changes I make to it when I get home and let you know how it turns out! :vapor:

Aw come on! Time to man up! I'm running .35 duals on an Odin with the air wide open and 18mg!

I'm just kidding!! If I do that I get the hiccups! Really nice looking Reo, congrats!

When i use thin wire - like 30g, 32g and so on - i only tighten my screw till i see the wire at the back of the post lift a little. I don't usually use this stuff for single coils except for HRH, who vapes at about 1.5Ω.

When i use 26g and lower - well then i get an impact driver and go to work on it (kidding). Make sure your screw bottoms have no sharp burrs. Use a bit of sandpaper or a file.

This is what i run on an igo-w4 now - it's not micro, it's too big, it's 26g.

HA! No Way! I'd get worse than hiccups! I I tried it again last night. I drilled the other air hole out to 1/16 and put another 1.1 dual on it with Razz Cup 12mg and the throat hit was out of bounds! I couldn't do it, it felt like I was smoking 5 camel non filters at once! I fiddled with the cap positioning and coil height but it didn't get any better. I just put a 1.3 single back on it and taped off the other air hole.

Congrats on the HUGE milestone. It makes me proud and happy to hear about it :). Sweet lookin self reward too. Rock on :)
Thanks Super_X!

I'll do that! I have some micro files at home that would fit the bill. Right now I'm running my standard 28g 1.3 single coil on it till my Odin comes in. It's working good right now. I just don't think I'm a dual kind of guy. I've read the Odin works great as a single coil as well so we'll see. Thanks for the input!

Most people that use RDA's have cut their nic % down. You might try mixing your's down with straight VG to get it to a % that would be vapeable for you. I have cut all my liquid down from 24mg to 3mg in the last 2yrs since getting my 1st RDA... Am on the verge of cutting the 3mg down since I started using the Odin. I think by years end I will probably be at 0%, which is my goal...

All I vape in my Reos is Nicoticket and I couldn't imagine diluting the flavor of that delicious nectar! :p

I have started buying it in lesser mgs because I plan on decreasing my nic intake. I don't mind running a single coil on the Odin when it gets here. I just watched Super_X's video about it, so I think I'll be good. I just like the look of the 22mm atties on the LP Reos. I'm just not up to the dual coil leverl yet. Maybe when I start ordering 6 mg juice I will but the lowest I have now is 12, 10 in my Pluid.
