Okay, so I've been gone from the forums awhile so maybe I missed it, but I don't see the enjoyment. What do people like about it, besides the clouds.

Even on .5ohm I'm vaping in the high 20s to mid 30s. By mid-40s me gets to pushing it, either getting too hot for comfy draw or the flavour being too off.. Only time I even break the 40s (on .5 and at that only 42w) is with a chocolate vape I have because it changes to a different chocolate there but barely.

Is this a juice thing, personal preference, based on ohms, some combination with personal preference?

I think everyone is just enjoying vaping to it's fullest, you included. More watts equal deeper and faster inhales or else the cotton burns.

I'm using a Sigelei 150W reg mod and I am vaping at with a dual coil at .35ohms on an RDA, at 70W. I didn't have enough flavor with the 75W Sigelei at 40W top 50W so when I traded up for my current box mod, I just happened to settle in at 70W.

I'm buying mods of all kinds and will change what I vape at when I get there. Some mechanical mods (cylindrical and box) cannot be pushed all day like a regulated device without paying a lot more attention, so when I get there, I'll have to modify how I vape.

I can see going above 50w if you below .5ohm, and I can see having higher wattage mods for more reliability. I'm just trying to see who actually enjoys (and not just for show) vaping at these higher levels.

I don't go out much at all, work part-time, and the only ppl that know that I vape are my brother, mother, one close friend and one neighbor. Have had no problems with my regulated 150W Sigelei at all. I love it. Vape all day long too, sun-up to sun-down.

I've spent at least $500 this year on new gear that I ordered and it has yet to arrive, and I'll probably spend $5k total in 2016 buying everything under the sun. I'm developing a vaping collection.

What you vape at is not a pissing contest. It's whatever you want to vape at.

A few empties at the desk side...

You have a 150w mod fine. But what wattage you find yourself vaping at normally? That is what I'm getting at.

Dual coil, and my Sigelei says they're running combined at 0.35 ohms. The RDA I'm using is a Mako Shorty. Nothing special, and I'll soon be using Twisted Messes Squared (Twisted Messes v2) RDA.

Whoops forgot about that, between TV, bourbon and phonecall just slipped my mind, my bad. I haven't used that low ohm yet, I can see it above 50 but still seems pushing to me at 70. I'll have to run by the local store and see if they have that combo I can test.

However, if you enjoy it, of course keep it up.

Coil size and airflow are prolly the most important factors on how many W you can/should throw at a certain build/atty.
With a big airflow dripper you can easily vape at 100W and the vape still isnt hot.

Resistance doesnt really matter, I run a 0,7 build at 100W on a Velocity.

I'm going to have the local shop have me try some of their higher watt set-ups. I have noticed airflow making a difference, but not that much.

I will say this, for me personally, if I can't hold a draw for 5 seconds from heat, it too hot.

I see it as a lot of factors. Thickness and type of wire play the most part. Someone using 22awg wire is going to need more power to heat coils up compared to someone using 28awg. Exotic coils, claptons, fused claptons, alien wire, zipper coils, again more wire equals need more power to push it. Some people just like a hot vape compared to others, where as others are just trying to hard to compete in the Darwin Awards IMO.

Personally, highest I've gone in Watts is in the 120 watt range, TFV4 /w an Octuple Coil head on a Sig150, normally on the TFV4 I'm in the 75watt range with the quad coil head, rest of the time, my drippers I'm in the 30 to 50watt range, most of the day though, Sig Mini 30watt /w a Kayfun V4 at about 7 to 12 watts depending on time of day, evening and morning 7 to 8 watts, about mid morning 10watts, mid afternoon 12watts, evening backing down toward 7 watts again before bed.

I run my BFT with dual .2 24g ss304 3.5mm spaced coils at 90 watts on my RX. My VCMT has a .16 dual coil build, twisted 3 strand 28g contact 3mm and it runs great at 80 watts. wire mass plays a part as does spaced or contact coils. I like my vape warm but not hot. I can hold these for a 3-4 second hit and they dont turn hot on me. but then my warm might be your hot.

It all comes down to what works for YOU. My setup would probably not be likable to you. this isnt a contest. If you view it as a contest your not gonna have a good time vaping...
