So I was scouring the health boards on ECF after I started having major issues with heartburn and indigestion after going from a mini (m40x style ecig) to an ego-t tank and/or drip setup. I'd feel a pain on my chest and what felt like behind my lungs and couldn't vape more than a puff or two before having to put my eGo down. Many folks claim it could be a number of reasons: effect of quitting analogs, intolerance to PG or VG, too much nic, not drinking enough water/drinking too much... Anything really.

Tried endless tums, not eating for long stretches, drinking insane amounts of water, taking long pauses between vapes, but nothing worked.

What did? Tea. Green or white with honey. Fantastic for controlling TH if it's too much, tastes great and not a bit of pain on my chest. Kind of dulls the flavor of my e-juice, but I'm happily vaping and can't be happier. Now, I'm not a doctor and if you're feeling this you may have some existing medical conditions, like GERD, and you should always consult your doctor if you feel any chest pain (I'm having my first post vape checkup in a week), but this did the trick for me in dramatic fashion and hope this helps someone on here.

Admin - if this should be moved to the health board, my apologies and please do me the favor of moving it appropriately. Figured my fellow noobs would benefit from seeing it here.

Happy vaping.

One more thing...

I also found that I was vaping improperly the entire time since I've started about a month ago. There is definitely a technique to vaping that is different to how you might take drags on a cig. I found the right way to do this in the ECF Library on the forums and am really enjoying the experience as a result. Can't remember the name of exact thread, but just head to the library and you'll see it. A fantastic resource, that library, and well worth a good sit down with your favorite PV if you're new to vaping and would like to learn/relearn a bit more.

I know cigarette smokers are more likely to have acid refulx or GERD (I have it),,,,,,,,,,come to think of it,,,,I havent had any issues since starting to vape,,,,,,,hm.

If it's too much for you,or the tea stops working, see your doctor for Nexium (the purple pill) or some other such medication. It really helped me when it was at its worst!

So I lowered my nic intake by mixing an 11mg with a 4mg I had lying around for the heck of it this weekend... acid reflux gone. After I last posted, I found that the tea helped in controlling the symptom, but it didn't resolve the issue. Could the amount of nic you vape cause acid reflux? Does that make sense? Only problem I have now is that I'm chain vaping RY4. Tastes... So ... Good. feels so right. :)
