I keep reading about folk using alcohol as a solvent or dilutant - perhaps it's my ignorance but isn't there a risk of:
1) slight to severe 'drunkeness' from vaping alcohol - take a lot less vapour to have an effect
2) long term lung, liver and kidney damage
Is inhalable alcohol a good idea? - By Amanda Schaffer - Slate Magazine
Please inform my ignorance - til then playing it 'safe'.

Used as a solvent for cleaning attys or such, you let it dry before vaping - no alcohol left

Used in nic juice, one or two drops to increase TH, or thin the VG, would hardly be enough to get one drunk

The article referred to inhaling 1-2 shots in a sitting. A shots worth of alcohol would be good to thin
about 250ml of juice, take a while to vape that. :)

The amount of PGA used to thin VG or increase TH is extremely small and not anywhere near enough to get one drunk. Aside from that, the heat from the atomizer or cartomizer will burn off the alcoholic content, just as it would be burned off in cooking. It doesn't cause liver or kidney damage and it doesn't cause someone to become an alcoholic.

I think the writer of the article is a little confused in her terminology, as is the creator of that device. The device she writes about is actually more like a nebulizer, which does not heat the liquid, and uses oxygen to generate the vapor. This is very different from an atomizer. I took a look at the AWOL website and if anyone wants to tell me how stupid my mod looks, then they should take a look at those. They look ridiculous and I think they have the potential to be incredibly dangerous.
