AND as for the artificial sweeteners on Diabetics - let's just say they can be just as harmful:

The Bad Effects Of Artificial Sweeteners On Diabetics | LIVESTRONG.COM

and . . .

Sugar substitute - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So, if I may be so bold to suggest, just keep that in mind when chosing what "Nic-Juices" you may want . . .

I hope this information is helpful . . . :D

The problem with those articles/links is that they're not talking about inhaling vapor. vaping is not the same as oral ingestion. If it was, I could get my vitamin C from my lemon-lime e-juice. I'd be gaining weight from all the double-fudge I've been vaping lately.

If someone's glucose levels are going up, it's because of the suppressing effect of nicotine on insulin, not the flavor of their juice.

I will not argue with you about the effects of Nicotine on insulin - However, I was not mentioning the flavors but what goes into making those specific flavors . . . The articles I linked to are only a couple of resources to read and information to consider - they are not the be all end of of the discussion - nor should they stop someone doing the proper and extensive research about the issue . . .

Those articles should not be just blatantly disregard as you are suggesting by your comments, but read fully . . . And if you did, you would find out more information about the effects of using sugar subsitutes for those with Diabetes that would also need to be considered when choosing "Nic-Juice" . . .

More Importantly, what I was bringing to the table was the fact that there are "Nic-Juices" out there that ARE Made from and have both sugar/substitutes added to them which "MAY" also have an affect on someone with Diabetes and can possibly effect them for many different reason (and again read articles fully and do your own research - because you would also notice that using them could lead to weight gain instead of loss too) . . . And as I PERSONALLY Experience, there is a definite cause and effect for "Me" when I vape any "Nic-Juice" that has sugar/substitute in it's formulas . . . It is something someone with Diabetes (as I do) needs to consider and not just disregard as you are suggesting they do . . .

However - Matter of fact - AND EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY - I will disagree with you about the fact that "inhaling" anything is not an oral ingestion . . . You are taking something into your mouth - be it from what you are eating/drinking and vaping/inhaling - there is always some residue that you are swallowing (be it a little or a lot) via the saliva in your mouth and when it goes into you lungs - there are even times by error that the "Nic-Juice" will get into your mouth . . . SO YOU ARE INGESTING the compounds within and made from these products - so as a result they DO EFFECT YOU (Or do you always rinse out your mouth with something and spit it out or even brush your teeth to clean your mouth after vaping).

OH - Wait - I forgot - all the "Inhalers" - I use ("VAPE") for COPD and Allergies/Asthma/Emphysema are not ingested - So I do not have to be concerned - they have no effect on "Me" and they do not have any side effects and do not cause any problems with my digestion process either . . .

WOW ! ! ! "INHALING" Any Substance Into Your Body Is Not Digested - BECAUSE IT IS NOT ORALLY INGESTED. . .

(BTW: The "Sarcasm" of the last sentence should not just be assumed - however should be understood as it is fervently implied . . . ;) )

Wow, this is all very informative. I have a doctor's appt tomorrow for my checkup (they have to test my blood every 6 months to make sure I'm getting the right synthroid dosage, for the past 30 years now... (Grave's Disease was the original diagnosis, then radiation, kill the thyroid, now take meds for the rest of your life thing...) He'll do other tests just to make sure I'm not diabetic or having liver failure, or high cholesterol, blood pressure (all the things that run in my family) yadda yadda  They want to make sure we are healthy :p and keep their pockets full of change ;)

Anyway, I can't wait to tell him I've quit smoking and now just vaping (well, mainly, except for a couple drags from an analog maybe twice a day). He's going to faint! However, after reading this thread, I'm hoping that he doesn't discover high sugar or whatever it is, because my mom became diabetic in early 70's, but she had gained a lot of weight by then, and, was eating more low-fat low-cholesterol but more sugared products most likely. I'm pushing 60 soon and I've been lucky so far with only the thyroid problem. Not counting the passing of kidney stones now and then, but I digress...

I had heard that quitting smoking makes people gain weight. I have neither gained nor lost weight in the 3 months that I've been vaping. However, I do drink more water - which, I believe, is a good thing. I'm slightly underweight for my age group, according to statistics. A few years ago I made a conscious decision to eat less, but more frequently, small quantities but more often. Sorry, that was redundant.
I seem to be rambling more, now that I'm vaping instead of smoking.....I don't remember why I chimed in here.... :vapor:
Was my memory sharper when smoking analogs? Have I become ditzy? or ditzier I should say

I'll be curious to see if the blood tests show unusual results for anything! If so, do I blame it on vaping, not smoking or aging? hmmmm
