Vaping and Gaming???

So....I have ordered my first USB pass-through device from Steve @ Puresmoker, but I can't wait to find out the answer to this interesting thought...

Would one of the USB ports on a Playstation 2 power the USB passthru?

I mean, it powers microphones and cameras and such, would it have enough power for me to vape with?

If anyone wants to try this out [if you think it will damage your system, if you know it will, or don't think it's a good thing to try then tell me please], and let me know what happens, that would be greatly appreciated.

I know you can power it with a Wii. I would think the same would be true with PS. Daniel@PureSmoker used his with a Wii and now had a different system. You might PM him and ask. (He's my future son-in-law)

sorry to here about that nuck what happened three red lights? If your the tech type and it isn't under warranty look into the x clamp replacement. I too use my ecig from my xbox and i think here soon i'm going to make something that will hook to my wireless controller to vape from stay tuned..

What would be a good portable power pack [or PPP as I say] to use with the USB batt/passthru? From what I think I've read, APC had a pretty good one but has discontinued it?

P.S. Sorry to hear of your loss, Nuck. I've got to say, all these problems with both newer generations of game consoles are what have kept me from even saving up to get one....that's why I still have good ol' ps2. i actually just bought a new one of those a few months ago. maybe when ps3 or 360 are as old as ps2 is now, I would consider it. but not until everyone else gets the bugs worked out

I use my passthru on my 360 , and I feel your pain Nuck I had a 360 die on me also and it was out of warranty . they are pretty easy to fix yourself ,just look on youtube for fixes for 3 red lights and xclamp replacement step by step videos . and for a good alternative to the discontinued Apc power pack , try a Duracell Instant power pack , there is a thread in the genral discussion by smokingClam on this power pack I'm going to order one myself from tigerdirect on sale for $19.99

I've been through 3 of them with the dreaded red rings of death. I just got mine back so I know your pain. The sent me a free month of xbox live for my troubles....whoopdy doo.

This is correct. If your unit RROD's they'll fix it / replace it at no charge.

I have started the repair ticket for the 3 red light problem and you guys were right. There is no charge in spite of the unit being out of warranty.
