Yesterday I was invited to a Perfect Chef party. Think tupperware party, but with LOTS of sharp knives. Anyways over the phone my dear friend who happens to be LDS admitted that she had started smoking again.

PERFECT! So I bring my PV with me of course with plenty of carts and lots of juice.

After she saw it (and stole a few puffs haha), she had me go onto her computer and put a few sites down so that she could order one.

Now, her friends are HEAVY LDS. And she asked me to try and not vape around her friends. lol.... They thought that it was a pen by the evening. And when her husband congrated me for quitting, her friends asked me how I did it? Cold-Turkey? Patches? And I pulled my E-cig out and explained what it was! HAHAHA! They were all facinated by it :)

I thought that it was rather spiffy :) And even better I got to continue vaping and noone cared!

is it supposed to be against their religion to smoke?????

Yes it is. They cannot drink alcohol, smoke anything, or use any addictive substance. furthermore, they also must decline blood transfusions even if it means saving their own child. Court cases are pending on that very matter. So I would have a hard time with a mormon who is lighting up a cig as they try to get into my house and sell me their pamphlets. But then again, par for the course. Talking outta one side of their mouth, smokin a cig outta the other.
My best,
-VP

LOL none of the Mormons I know smoke... then again it just might be the area's I have lived it.... Did not know about the blood transfusion thing I think that is not in the religion (I could be wrong) but the ones I know are not against modern medicine, the one families youngest has had 2 open heart surgeries so far....

Vapor Pete is correct.

Mormons are not allowed anything addictive, even caffeine. No kidding. So no tea and coffee for them! My father plays mormon most of the time, but he does drink soda, I have seen him. He smoked when he first met his 5th wife...no, not all at the same time, only one at a time, plus a fling on the side...which is against the current LDS religion as well, just to clear that up. The fact that you were not reamed for showing them your "addictive" substance (your e-cigarette) is absolutely awesome. Not all mormons are that nice. As we all know, there are some people so dead set in their beliefs that they are mean about it. Like my stepmother who acts like she herself is god...OMG!

I also agree that the blood transfusion thing is never something we were taught (in the years of going to church 7-8 times a week). There arehowever two different kinds of mormons. There are people that call themselves LDS and they are the original (no polygamy currently, no caffeine, no nicotine, etc). Then there are people that call themselves Mormons (meaning, even their church sign says "mormon church") and those ones are the ones that believe in polygamy. Maybe that second group is the one that has to deny blood transfusions?

I prefer to leave the second 'm' out of it.

AWESOME! I wish I had thought of that years ago...I grew up mormon. Let's just say I will NEVER step on LDS property EVER again!

I'm not saying the religion is bad...there are some very good beliefs, but then there are some wierd ones and some bad ones as well. And if anybody here happens to be mormon...just remember something, I can say whatever I want because I've been there done that. Kinda like I can make fat jokes because I'm a fatty...LOL
