I have been lurking and found this site and everyone's insight really helpful.
After six months' dual use, I am now testing the waters to see how I get on without the ciggies. Yesterday, I realise there were only four left in the pack. I finished them by 5.30pm, so it has now been 24 hours without an analogue - the longest I have gone without for about 15 years. Yay!
I fly a lot of long haul, so have a bunch of nicorette microtabs 2mg and a quickmist lying around. To help me through these first few weeks, I figured I would interchange with these to knock the worst cravings. It really, really helped this morning and made the 'loss' of the first morning ciggie less painful. I was also thinking it could help me not get into crazy chain-vaping. One of the things which has held me back from switching is that I am a bit nervous about vaping in public as noone I know are vaping and they all find it a bit odd (I know, I know - smoking is much more obnoxious, but somehow more normal-looking).
Any views on this? Anyone tried a similar approach? To be honest, I just wants something that works. I have a run a very demanding business and can't afford to be unfocused or angsty even for a few weeks.
About my vaping/smoking: 25 year's smoking. 1-2 packs a day for a decade. Now using Provari and istick at home and ego outside, combined with nautilus and aerotanks. My rotation is one giant bottle of 24mg MBV 555, 15mg Vermillion River KPB and 12mg Pink Spot Peach Pit Tobacco (and various fruits for fun). It's almost impossible to get anything above 12mg where I live, but I can't do 555 all the time.
Sorry for the long post - but it's a big step and could do with some feedback. I know the next weeks will be a bit tough and thought I'd finally sign up and join you lovely people!
