I never smoked a cigarette in the house, so when I did the e-cig inside and my cat saw it he was mesmerized by the vapor. I didn't blow any at him because I don't know if he'd be affected by the nicotine, but his eyes get huge when he sees the LED light up.

I think I'll go see if he'll chase a vapor ring.....

how cute! my cats don't seem to be interested by it, when I'm by them.

Veterinary data indicates that propylene glycol is toxic to 50% of dogs at doses of 9mL/kg, although the figure is higher for most laboratory animals (LD50 at levels of 20mL/kg).[10] However, it may be toxic to cats in ways not seen in other animals. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has determined that propylene glycol in or on cat food has not been shown by adequate scientific data to be safe for use. If propylene glycol is used in or on cat food, the food is considered adulterated and in violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.[11]

Im sure you wouldnt Getsay. It would ruin your vaping experience right from the start.

I dont think the vapor would be harmful to them but I wouldnt try it to see what the results would be.

there are many people that dont know of the dangers to animals and children that nic liquids can cause. But its almost always fatal to the poor animal.

Please spread the word.

8-o My main reason to switch to vaping was to not kill my cats. Is VG as lethal?

Well unless you gave your cats a cig, then that wasn't really nesicary.

Sorry ;)

VG no idea.. But who knows what will harm what animal. They are different from us. Asprin will kill cats..

MAybe VG is ok, but a certain flavor isn't, while another flavor is ok. I'd just keep the stuff far away from all animals.

Maybe a bit over the top. But I am worried now, I try to restrict my cats to a separate room when I smoke. I've been vaping around them, and while I'm sure my secondhand vapor isn't very toxic, I'm concerned about the long term. Also, who hasn't had the occasional leak? My juice list reads like a kids shopping cart...

I just started vaping. I never smoked in the house and since starting vaping - I've only done it in one room. But...once I was taking a long drag and my cat jumped up on my lap - scared the crap out of me (she's not a lap cat usually) so of course, I let the breath go out. Vapor went right into her face - NOT on purpose! She did NOT like it and ran away immediately. Her reaction spoke volumes to me. She sneezed several times right after getting far away. Now I just vape outside only. This is not scientific (obviously) proof, but I trust her animal/kitty judgement - get FAR away from that! Just thought I would share my experience.
