To start off I just want to apologize for the corny thread title. So I plan on going to beach tomorrow and it just hit me I don't want to get a $175 device all sandy and ruined. I was thinking about bringing a sandwhich bag to keep it while I'm not using. Any one got any suggestions of something more practical or is this the best I'm going to get?

I've never had problems with taking my mods to the beach. From a Reo, to tube mods, and an IPV3. Just keep in mind about it getting hot down there. Living in Alabama, I go walk around the beach everyday.
Maybe a fanny pack or a neck lanyard so you can be extra-awesome? I just carried mine in my pocket, honestly, no problems. Granted, it was an ego/evod set-up so I wasn't too worried.

I went to the beach yesterday, I left the good stuff in the car and dug out my old evod 650 for the beach. It kept me going and I wouldn't have cried if it got ruined (maybe whimpered a little, but no tears)

Are you allowed to vape on the beach in your state? You don't want someone confiscating your stuff, or giving you a fine...
My main concern when i go to the beach is the heat. I usually keep my gear inside a ziplock bag which i put inside a feeezer bag and i keep that in the cooler.

Was at the beach all last week. I used a ziplock bag when I wasn't using it. My kids kick up sand everywhere. I was afraid of the 104 degree heat on the battery. No worries on that front either after 4 hours in the back pack in the hot sun, no issues.
Even took it on a jet ski ride. I wouldn't recommend that though.

In NJ if it is a PAID beach meaning you must buy a day tag No Vaping No Smoking ex Seaside Wildwood Im pretty sure you can vape on the beach but no crazy clouds or you will probably be warned

For the beach I used to use an ego with t3 now I use a clone mech with a clone kayfun, I think it was a whopping 27 bucks if I mess it up.

I always bring my insulated cooler bag along with me and keep my mod, juice, and any batteries in it. Not only does it protect against the sand, it protects against the heat as well.

Sadly, Southern California seems to be. I had hoped that vaping would be less of a stigma, but with all the propaganda ... people look at me (sometimes) like I'm still smoking. And... some people look at me like I'm doing drugs - as if they think it's a crack pipe or something.

Yes in NJ most of the beaches you now have to pay to get on the beach. The state claims it's bc of the cost to maintain the beaches.
The Only free beaches that I know of is Atlantic City (and the beach is mostly COPYRIGHTDMCA not actual sand) all of Wildwood, and LBI
It's sad when you have to pay to enjoy what nature has created for free
To be honest, I'm kind of glad when I go to Point Pleasant the beach is restricted pretty much to residents/people who are lucky enough to get "badges". That place is quite nice and I wouldn't want it overrun with the random day-trippers who, moreso than the residents, give the Jersey shore its bad reputation.
That said: I was never hassled at the Point Pleasant beach when I used to vape there (or smoke there, when I was a smoker).
