I'm still a first year! Haven't experienced going to the beach with my vaping gear yet. Should I be concerned at all with the heat and my batteries? Using a regular old box mod. Just wanted to get other people's experiences with this. Mostly I'm concerned about finding a good spot away from people on the beach. I don't/can't handle anything getting stolen. This may seem silly but hey, better safe than battery exploding because of something easily avoidable.

Hi Frosting. Glad to see you again
I love the beach. Haven't taken my Kgo yet & I've been wondering about it also.
But I am mostly worried about the sand. I don't want to get sand in the threads of my pv. As for heat, you can always keep it in a little lunch box with some blue ice in there. Nice & cozy.

PS. Surfs up. Vape on

One bit of advice, You mention finding a spot away from other people to avoid things getting stolen. I think you have this mixed up.

When I lived in VA beach, I learned that if you're going to leave items on the beach unwatched, it's best to find the most crowded areas to leave them. People are less likely to snatch your sunglasses, watch, whatever if it's surrounded by other people.

I can't speak for the box mod, but I live in Florida and go to the beach often. I have only taken my KGO to the beach twice as I got it a few weeks ago, but the heat seemed to have no effect. However, I got some sand in my threads and it took awhile to clean out, so I will put it in a zip lock bag next time I go.

Great idea! Put them in a baggy or tupperware container inside a lunch box with blue ice. Perfect! Protected from heat, sand, and prying eyes.

I spent a week at the beach last month. I just dropped mine in an inside pocket of my wife's beach bag. We were in a condo complex where we put our umbrellas and chairs on the beach on day one and took them down the night before we left. Shade helps keep things cooler, but heat wasn't a problem under the umbrella. I just wanted to keep sand out of it. I like the zip lock/blue ice idea.

I am glad you brought this one up. I haven't tried going to the beach with my PV yet but I've been curious about others experience. I did think the cooler and ice pack idea would be good except I worried about the condensation aspect. I guess I could keep my PV in it's own container inside the cooler.

Anyway, I have some ideas now for my next trip to the beach at least.

Vape on!
