Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I used to have in-laws like that- judgy, superior, critical buttheads. I used to run around trying to hide my smoking from them because I didn't want them to look down on me.

I'm divorced now, and I would NEVER let anyone tell me what to do or how to do it ever again. You don't like me for me? Don't invite me. You don't like what I do in my own house? There's the door.

I'm not changing who I am for anyone.
It's tough before one has the hindsight to realize that one needn't (and shouldn't be put through) that bullpucky.

I feel for the guy.

my options come down to keep it a secret and sneak in the bathroom, or go outside and if someone asks be honest. these sound like very good options.

thanks for the support everyone. I'm sure I'll figure something out. regardless this gave me a good excuse to get a new juice :) I got a cookie flavor that should blend in and an XL cartomizer to go with the gripper. nice and subtle and easy to conceal.

Just go outside and vape dude. If they find out you smoked in their house im sure theyd be ....... Who cares what they think about your vaping, but i wouldnt disrespect them by stealth vaping in their bathroom. I agree with others, be a man and dont be a sissy trying to hide your habits. Get sloshed, vape outside and watch football.

I digress, vaping doesn't seem to last as long as smoking. 5 hours without a cigarette didn't bother me much but more than 2 without a vape is torture.

I've found that I can go a lot longer without vaping than I could without smoking - I think the power of nicotine by itself is weaker than the draw of all that was in cigartettes. Do a test run to see how long you can go before the trip to the in-laws.

Aaaand this should be a lesson to our single vapers...

a) Make sure that the person your planning on marrying knows all your flaws, and loves you anyway.
b) You're not just gaining a spouse, you're gaining their parents too. Make sure you can live with em, or at least that you're spouse will back you rather than them during any friction.

My mother in law was insane. No seriously, bat guano crazy, and drove my hubby crazy when he was around her. If it came down to me versus her it was me every time. :D

Newlywed?? I've got a similar issue, but I've been married for almost 15 years and I'm not gonna worry about the opinions. I'll hold the vapor in a bit longer, until I'm ready to leave so my wife is cool with me heading home :D

Yep, we've been married for a little more than 2 years, but met just before high school 8 years earlier.

just like zoe, i feel for you, man.

i went through the same crap with my high school sweetheart. she was afraid to stand up to her mother. her mother was afraid to stand up to her man. i was judged on a scale i consider unprecedented. i damn near built a house for this woman and 2 of her children, but still wasn't good enough.

at this point in life, no matter how i feel for a woman, if i feel i have to hide anything about myself from any of her family members, there's no relationship even worth considering possible between us. friends with benefits, maybe. but even that would be few and far between.

sorry to hear you have these hurdles in life. nobody should be subjected to such.

good luck in your quest for answers. sorry i couldn't provide any.
