I'm having an elective procedure next week and I'll get general anesthesia. My doctor told me to get to zero nicotine for two weeks before surgery and until I'm healed up. I've done some research but can't get a definitive answer as to whether it's necessary.
Well, I'm having trouble with the zero-nic juice not satisfying me, so I've been sneaking a little bit of nic-laced juice here and there.
Is it, in your opinion, totally necessary to get to zero for this to be a success?

Sorry but one thing we don't do on ECF is give medical advise. That is something you need to see an MD for. Even if I said I was a Doctor how could you know that to be true. Can't check for a Medical license on here. I'd do what the doctor said or as best you can. Bet he told you to not take aspirin to. Veteran of many surgeries. Remember Nicotine is a kind of Toxin. Best wishes on the surgery.

Hello young lady :) It's me again. /lol

I'm not a Dr. and or Nurse and none of my post should be taken as medical advice. Having done my CYA thing :) what an interesting question. I had bladder stones removed and smoked real deal stinkys on the way to the hospital and as soon as I was released. This was before the days of vaping. This is just my way and not meant to convey a suggestion. I think part of the issue may be that the Medical community has not studied vapers over a period of time and how long they have been vaping. I think ? you have only been vaping for 5 months so your system is not quite normalized yet as say compared to someone who has been vaping over one year and beyond. I feel and understand your tough issue and send you my very best wishes for a speedy recovery. I would play it safe and obstain. See these articles I pulled for you:
