I would like to clarify something here regarding the 808's as reading this thread I am quite confused about exactly what the op is asking.
I noticed you indicated what you are using now are 808 threaded but are only that. Does the head of your 808 passthrough look like this:
or 808 Ego threaded like this:
Because if your 808 passthrough doesn't have the ego threading on it, the Clearomizer X2's from Si will not work.
Or if it is a cigalike - the X2's will fit but not the T3's.

As I'm waiting for my vv ego to come, I'm using my 808 with a clearo, and I do like it a lot. Maybe the clearo will help solve your issues...but I still think you're going to want an ego eventually.
No I'm gonna keep my 808 and just try Claros/see through tanks with it since all I've ever used were cartomizers but I'm also gonna buy the ego twist too. Just trying different things to see if I can get a better taste...I don't really care about more vape?smoke what I'm wanting is taste. I'm trying Mt baker juices for the first time..i was on vixen months but I need to switch..i tried SI juice..v4l and didn't like the taste.
I understood that you were keeping the 808's - believe you me I have a slew of them from the mini cigalikes to the Si X2 batteries. All I was trying to suggest is I didn't want you to purchase something 808 from SI that required eGo threading in order to work for you.

one bit of info. When your 808 batteries finally give up the ghost, if you have leftover clearos this little baby Adapter Male 510 to Male 901/KR-808 - MyFreedomSmokes.com will let you put the 808 threaded clearomizers on your510 devices.
yes , I went on a buying binge! ego-t, vivo, tanks, cartos, juice etc. waiting for it all to arrive!
I had this issue as well, try starting out with a clearomizer, or a wick system. Cartos can be a pain to prime.
I got my SI Nano Clearomizers, OMG they are the bomb....but but I need juice! this setup with the 808 battery is so easy, great throat hit but not as much flavor but i think it's the juice. This is so easy to fill. I did taste a lil burnt taste on my 1st two pulls ?? I also got my ego but I haven't used it yet. Now I have equipment but no good juice. My goto juice supplier is down and I went to another company but there juice gives me SOB and it's ewwwhh..
