vaping for 2 months, not enough smoke/throat hit - help!

Hey all...

I used to love [EDIT - No drug talk!]... I am smoking for 2 months using an ego-t upgrade with a clearomizer and an ismoka tank, but its just not doing it for me... I want big strong heavy throat hits and lots of vapour. Good taste also obviously...

What should I do?

I'm in toronto.

Thanks

So an RBA is a rebuildable atomizer: you build a coil to the specific resistance you want. You do this by wrapping resistance wire (Kanthal) around wicking material (silica, eco, cotton, mesh etc..) The Kanthal comes in different gauges (the lower the gauge; the lower the resistance) and depending on the length and gauge you use will determine the resistance of your coil. I'd check out GG atomizers; the best on the market imo. Also check Imeo Thanasis and Bishopheals on you tube for everything you need to know as far as how to build coils and such.

A mechanical mod is a "e-cig" that doesn't have any wires, solder points, or electrical interface. Just a button that when depressed completes the circuit. They don't have a built in "protection" like most VV/VW mods that prevent sub-ohm vaping. Getting a hold of one can be difficult depending on what you're looking for. I'd get verified and check the classies.

With RBA's you need a ohm meter or multi meter or VV/VW device with a ohm reader to know what the resistance of your coil is. They range from pocket change cheap to way more than I'd be willing to spend on such a device. I'd check amazon.

Hope this helps:toast:

Its probably too soon for you to go Sub ohm.. A bigger vv battery will help greatly giving you the power you need. Can you see yourself rebuilding? If not The kanger evod gives great hits or the smok aero. discount vapers has a new carto tank system called the raven tank. It has a killer 705 style carto that you can rinse and dryburn.

Totally agree. Rebuilding, mechanicals and sub ohm builds are not for the faint of heart or new vapers. Something larger (such as a Vamo or SVD) would go a long way to producing the power to increase the vapor.

:thumb: I agree with the above two guys. An RBA is a more advanced delivery device requiring do-it-yourself skills, own and know how to use a digital multimeter to measure coils, knowledge on resistance and ohm's law, knowledge on how to recognize and troubleshoot a hard short, which batteries to use, what safety features to look for in a mod, etc. And that's not even getting into the making of the wick and coils. Do your research first, and then decide if this is the route you want to go. They are not suited for everyone, and not for most vapors just getting started. Get some more experience and do your research on RBAs before making that leap.

Here's some information resources which is useful for all advanced vaping devices, but in particular for rebuildable atomizers:

I think you would be better served to get a regulated mod in a comfortable price range and experiment with some different juice delivery devices to see which might work best for you:

I'm not familiar with the 705 style carto. Will the raven tank (cartomizer) screw on to my eGo X6 battery just like any Boge or SmokTech carto will?

Maybe try a variable voltage mod and a bridgeless dripping atty. You're going to buy a VV/VW mod sooner or later anyway and a decent bridgeless atty for dripping provides good performance without much hassle. For better throat hit, up the nic percentage. My understanding is you can get juice with nic in Canada from the right sources.

What they said!!!! I'd look into getting a ProTank on a VV/VW mod. Much easier to carry around during the day than a RBA.

Omg I hate how people recommend new people to do sub-ohm it is unsafe please stop doing this, micro coils are better and safe and they produce better flavor and throat hit and are very safe, but they create high-ohm coils mine start at 3.0+ and that is not recommended for standard batteries as they only run at 3.7 volts and it is recommended for a 3.0ohm coil to run at 5.0 volts to work correctly give or take 0.2ohms for your personal flavor desired so a variable voltage device is needed a svd, vamo or other cheap device will be good to run this just fine and you will be very satisfied.

I think recommending a RBA to someone just really starting out might be wrong advice. Usually someone who is new thats not getting a good throat hit and wants to go back to analogs is usually not using the right amount of Nic to satisfy their sensation. A chain smoker vaping 8 or 12 mg is going to crave a analog thats the body being stronger then the mind. If you vape 24mg or 36 at 80/20 pg/vg and still want a analog then yes find alternatives. LOL its all about the JUICE!
