Another question....and I appreciate everything so far...

As of now I have a cart going at WOV with the istick30/kanger sub tank.....and I'd figure I might as well get some extra coils too. I have options for the resistance.....

0.5 ohm (sold out)
1.2 ohm
0.5 Ohm Vertical
1.2 ohm Vertical (sold out)
1.5 ohm Vertical

Help...?

It seems like lately that the flavor and cloud has been decreasing from when I first started. It's been running pretty much nonstop for about 5-6 weeks. I'm not sure if it's the coil or the juice or if i need to clean the connectors or something.
If you are using the original coil. it's time to change it. When I used aerotanks my coils only lasted a couple of weeks before the vapor & flavor diminished
I think I consider myself a cloud chaser....
You really won't know until you try a setup capable of producing a lot of vapor. The Aerotank doesn't do this. Also, tanks that produce a lot of vapor require you to direct lung inhale. Some people love it, others HATE it. The vapor can be very warm when running high wattage.

The Kanger Mini Subtank allows you to do both M2L or D2L inhale depending how wide open you set your airflow. It's a good introduction with a tank where you can lung inhale. If you find you love it then you could try other tanks that will give you even more vapor when run at much high wattage.
read more about the 50 before buying one ... there have been serious issues with them. IMO, they are not safe.
I have two iStick 50 watts that auto fire and the battery heats up when charging. They were purchased in March and developed problems in April. Because of this I have to be VERY careful with them.

Here are the recommended ranges per Kanger. Doesn't mean you have to run this high/low. I use the 0.5Ω horizontal coil at 35 watts. Other members report using it at 25 watts or even lower.

Horizontal OCC Coils
0.5 Ω coils have an operating range of 15 watts to 30 watts.
1.2 Ω coils have an operating range of 12 watts to 25 watts.

Vertical OCC Coils
0.5Ω coils have an operating range of 15 watts to 60 watts
1.2Ω coils have an operating range of 10 watts to 26 watts
1.5Ω coils have an operating range of 10 watts to 26 watts

Besides the operating range is there a difference between vertical and horizontal? Right now I have the 0.5 Vert in my cart.

TeamSwish, I would strongly recommend you ditch the iStick in favor of an Innokin product. Get another MVP, or the Coolfire 4 - anything Innokin has a good reputation.

iSticks are notorious for autofiring, you don't know if you're getting the updated iStick 510 connection (early versions, the threads stripped out after a few weeks) - just bad news!

Other than the obvious coil placement, can't really answer that question as I have not tried the Vertical coils yet.

Try using the forum's search function.

I'll do some more research on that. I do like the quality of my MVP2.0...but I'm a cheap ... at heart....(one reason to convince myself vaping > analogs)...and $30 is a great price for a i30 full kit. If i can find a bargain on the mvp3pro...i'll prob do that. I'll look up more issues on the istick30 quality as well. The couple websites that had reviews on the i30 never mentioned the autofire.

If you you go with the Subtank mini and some 1.2 ohm coils you can still use your MVP20W. MVP 3.0 is a solid choice and will run the .5ohm coils. I didn't notice a difference in the 2 coils and found that anything much over 20 tended to burn the juice or the coil quicker. Most of my juices tend to be coil gunkers and I got the most life out of the prebuilt coils if I kept everything below 20 watts.

I have a few ST Minis (2 w/ RBAs, 2 w/ pre-built OCC); my favorite pre-built coils are the .5Ω verticals.

The sweet spots for my favorite juices are 28-34w on the .5Ω vertical, 12-14w on the 1.5Ω.

Unlike the older horizontal coil, the new .5 verts can easily handle 40+ watts. I haven't experience a bum vert coil yet. It also pays to be overly cautious, though: Prime the coil properly, let it sit in the tank for 20+ min (I'll often swap out a coil before bed so it can sit overnight), take a few light priming puffs on the smallest airflow, and start at a slightly lower wattage for the first few handful of hits to break in the coil. Just watch out for spitting - if you experience that then the wattage needs to be increased.

So my advice would be to get the vert .5Ω if you like to lung inhale, 1.5Ω if you are strictly MTL. I greatly prefer the former, so the .5Ω coils are it.

Batteries if you go for a Coolfire IV or Sigelei Mini, LG HE2/HE4, Samsung 25R, XTar XT-VTC4, and the Sony VTC4 itself, good charger, minimum you would need would be the Nitecore i2 or D2, Efest LUC 2bay, or Xtar VP1 or WP211

I am about to pick up a cool fire 4 for my fiancee, i was under the impression that it had a built in battery, i would prefer removable, but if removable then i will want to get her some batteries cause i dont share mine lol.

From what I've heard the kanger subbox isnt as good as the kanger mini subkit. The difference is that the kit comes with a 50w box mod and a kanger mini subtank. Apparently the kits came out some time after the sub box which is only 40w, and there were some improvements on the overall design and circuitry. I cant vouch for any of this as i dont own either, just regurgitating what ive read. I can say that if i were to buy one or the other i would go for the kit. I already have mods that im happy with so getting a mod and a tank that can be rebuilt for $66 is a good deal in my books.

I went to my neighborhood vape store to buy coils I asked the guy for a recommendation for a new box mod. Told him I was thinking about istick30 or mvp 3 pro. He recommended the kanger subox. I can't tell if he was trying to sell me it cause of the price...but I'm thinking about that as well.

I would also recommend the subox kit. However it requires you to buy a pair of good batteries that can handle atleast 20A. And a good charge such as Nitecore or Xtar.
The subox kit is kinda all in one. It offers alot of options such as:
1. Mouth to lung. (Higher ohm coil + lesser airflow, feels more like a cigg.)
2. Direct lung inhale. (Need to use bigger airflow but direct lung inhales offer more clouds (apart from the juice you're using, VG = Clouds, PG = Flavor, also it comes with 0.5 ohm coil.)
3. Rebuild it yourself. Once you've become advanced enough to try the rebuilding, this kit offers you this aswell.

For the mere 60ish bucks it costs it's a steal. But the downside is that you need separate batteries and a good charger.
I do recommend subox kit above MVP, unless internal battery is a huge + for you.

The subox kit is the 50w device with subtank mini. :)

Nope, you are correct, I'll stand corrected on that, from its design I was assuming it was similar to the Kanger KBox mod being quite similar in shape.

I'm leaning towards the subox kit now but I can't seem to find it for @60ish...only 80 and up. Damn. More looking.
