I got the subox kit and one battery a few weeks ago and love it. Battery life is ok and it is more my at home vape gear.. Use my iStick 20w and nautilus mini at work during the day. Been at this for a little over a month and went from 12mg to 3mg and not smoking about 2 pack a day feeling much better. Used the vertical coil the first week and changed flavors and tried the rda at .5ohm. Still need to wick it a little better but it is working. My son is into building coils and dripping so we get to play together trying coils and different juices.

From what I've heard the kanger subbox isnt as good as the kanger mini subkit. The difference is that the kit comes with a 50w box mod and a kanger mini subtank. Apparently the kits came out some time after the sub box which is only 40w, and there were some improvements on the overall design and circuitry.
The Subox is the kit. You're thinking of the original "K-Box" 40-watt mod by Kanger. The "Subox" (kit) comes with a new K-Box Mini (mod, 50W) in black/red or white/black, and the new mini Subtank in matching color.

The Kbox is limited on the wattage selection meaning you can only select (8W, 13W, 20W, 25W, 30W, 35W or 40W) where as the Subox Mini you can dial it in from 7 to 50w in 0.1 increments. That said, I would wait until Kanger gets the center pin issue solved, it is said they are going to have a spring loaded CP soon on the Subox Mini. They are known to not connect with other tanks as they get pushed in too deep.
