Well this is definitely not cigarette withdrawal as I have been off of cigs for a year and I am only 18 so I dont think its some kind of disease or anything but I keep getting canker sores as well. Half of my throat is sore from vaping and I just had this happen like 3 weeks ago and it lasted for about a week. I am definitely think its from vaping. Anyone know about this and can fill me in on whats happening?
Off the top of my head ... you could have a sinus infection, or rhinitis [driipy, stuffed sinuses] from allergies or an infective process. It could be on one side because only one side is affected or on one side because everything drained to the one side [the side you were laying on] is clogged while the other side is okay.
Post nasal drip [PND]can cause a sore throat. The drainage from your sinuses can be irritating. You have tubes [eustachian tubes] connecting your ear to your throat to facilitate drainage from your ear. As with PND, this drainage can cause irritation as well.
It could be that you're allergic to one, or many, of the ingredients in your fluid.
Canker sores can come from a multitude of sources. I know people that get them from taking vitamin C.
Do you clean your equipment? It could be that you are re-infecting yourself with your vape because the vape has the infecting microbe still on it. You can try to either get new mouth pieces or clean them. I have bottom coil tubes. Sometimes when I fill them I'll roll alcohol pads up and place them inside the mouthpiece and let it sit overnight. I usually have to to wad a piece of paper towel and place it into the mouthpiece to fill them anyway, so it's not a stretch for me to roll an alcohol pad. If you don't have alcohol pads, you could use regular rubbing alcohol. Be very careful to just dampen the paper towel and not fill your mouthpiece with dripping alcohol. I don't know the dangers of vaping alcohol, but I'm pretty sure it's not safe at all. Even better if your mouthpiece comes off. You can disassemble it and even soak it in alcohol for a bit. Rinse it and dry completely before you use it again. Also, be careful of where you place the alcohol. It will ruin many surfaces and finishes.
And, if your sore throat continues, or if you have a fever, go see your doctor.
I hope your feel better soon.
