Well this is definitely not cigarette withdrawal as I have been off of cigs for a year and I am only 18 so I dont think its some kind of disease or anything but I keep getting canker sores as well. Half of my throat is sore from vaping and I just had this happen like 3 weeks ago and it lasted for about a week. I am definitely think its from vaping. Anyone know about this and can fill me in on whats happening?

I get canker sores all the time. Put some baking soda straight on that ..... It works. Half a sore throat is actually fairly common with infections in the area. They can be localized to one tonsil or one half of the throat. A week is actually just the right amount of time for it to be an infection. If you irritate the soft lining on the throat it can easily become infected.

Visit your doctor and get checked out for your own peace of mind.

Turn down the wattage and quit inhaling large, hot clouds. Set your vape to 6 watts and only inhale here and there. The rest of the time, just hold the vapor in your mouth for a few seconds and then inhale just enough to exhale through your nose. Don't let it go down your windpipe.

Drinks lots of water. Dry mucous membranes can get irritated. You could have a PG or VG or flavor allergy, Try different mixes ... all PG or all VG might reveal that one is the culprit. Lower your nicotine. It's not hard to get used to a lower nicotine level. If you are at 24mg, go to 18mg on your next bottle. From there, go to 12mg and then 6mg.

Off the top of my head ... you could have a sinus infection, or rhinitis [driipy, stuffed sinuses] from allergies or an infective process. It could be on one side because only one side is affected or on one side because everything drained to the one side [the side you were laying on] is clogged while the other side is okay.
Post nasal drip [PND]can cause a sore throat. The drainage from your sinuses can be irritating. You have tubes [eustachian tubes] connecting your ear to your throat to facilitate drainage from your ear. As with PND, this drainage can cause irritation as well.
It could be that you're allergic to one, or many, of the ingredients in your fluid.
Canker sores can come from a multitude of sources. I know people that get them from taking vitamin C.
Do you clean your equipment? It could be that you are re-infecting yourself with your vape because the vape has the infecting microbe still on it. You can try to either get new mouth pieces or clean them. I have bottom coil tubes. Sometimes when I fill them I'll roll alcohol pads up and place them inside the mouthpiece and let it sit overnight. I usually have to to wad a piece of paper towel and place it into the mouthpiece to fill them anyway, so it's not a stretch for me to roll an alcohol pad. If you don't have alcohol pads, you could use regular rubbing alcohol. Be very careful to just dampen the paper towel and not fill your mouthpiece with dripping alcohol. I don't know the dangers of vaping alcohol, but I'm pretty sure it's not safe at all. Even better if your mouthpiece comes off. You can disassemble it and even soak it in alcohol for a bit. Rinse it and dry completely before you use it again. Also, be careful of where you place the alcohol. It will ruin many surfaces and finishes.
And, if your sore throat continues, or if you have a fever, go see your doctor.
I hope your feel better soon. :)

Ive been vaping for about a year and a half now and have gottne a few canker sores over this period of time. For me its when I chain vape and get dehydrated. It has nothing to do with nicotine levels or equipment like some people on here are saying or sharing equipment. They're not viruses or bacteria. Canker sores are caused by some sort of trauma. When you continually inhale hot vapor and don't wet your tongue with liquid this causes trauma, resulting in a canker sore.

you're probably just burning yourself with hot vapor and lung hits. a lot of people will tell you all sorts of things, sure maybe you picked up herpes from sharing or something... but you're probably vaping too hot too much.
I spoke as a RN who, not only ran a clinic, I taught as well. Not that this makes me a complete authority on vaping ;)

He wasnt specific to say what it was from just gave me infection antibiotics
