I am curious how often people puff on their e-cigs when they use them. I tend to use mine almost constantly all day, but I don't treat it like a regular cigarette. I take one or two puffs and then five minutes later do the same. Is that more than usual? Is that a quick way to drain the battery?

If you added up all the puffs I had in a day, I suspect that I am still smoking less than when I went outside and had an analog cigarette. My 30 mL bottle of ejuice has lasted more than 2 weeks so it makes me think I am not THAT heavy a user but on the other hand, it feels like I am a constant pseudo smoker now. LOL:glare:

I am now officially off of analogs "yippie"...so far three whole days with the stinkys! anyways, so far now that im strictly vaping I tend to wanna vape ALOT. im trying to kinda limit myself tho because I don't wanna have a nicotine overdose of anykind. I am kinda mixing my vaping up...I take a few puffs, sit it down for a few minutes, then maybe hit it again. it's so good to just be vaping its makes me wanna chain vape but I have to tell myself not to do that. ive already tried to treat vaping like smoking a cig outside my home, but I wind up coming back into the house and sitting down in my easy chair and just enjoying the vape! I still do occasionally go take a walk to my mailbox down the driveway and vape on my "cig-sized" pv.....mainly tho im vaping now on my SmokelessImage brand X2 battery and cartridges....but basically I seem to be mixing up my vaping times and im just rolling with the flow....

That's interesting. I also tend to want to "chain vape". I keep telling myself. "It isn't a cigarette so I don't have to worry." But you do have to be a little careful. I find that if I do it too often that I tend to get a little nauseous. I have had crummy e-cigs at first that tend to go dead fast and that's so frustrating. I am excited because a good one is supposed to be arriving in the mail tonight.

I tend to chain vape when I do grab it. 3-5+ pulls. Set it down until I feel the urge again.

But some times I'll just forget about it for hours. That was never the case with cigarettes. It was around 45-60 minutes all of a sudden that thought would implant itself that a smoke sounded good.

Such as if I'm some place I can't vape openly it really doesn't bother me, not enough to go stand outside. I just wait until I leave.

I was a chain smoker so it's not a surprise that I'm a chain vaper. Still it's nothing like smoking. With a cigarette you're pretty much committed to smoke it once it's lit. Either that or let it burn down in an ashtray. With my PV, I always have it but only puff it sporadically. I suspect that I'm taking about the same number of puffs per day, but it's more spread out than it would be with analogs. At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If I'm at home or in the car it's attached to my hand! I tend to take a couple of drags & then let it rest for a couple mins.

Me too.

I also put a tea bag and sugar in the cup first, add hot water, stir, removed T-bag then add milk.

People do all things slightly differently. No right or wrong, just personal preferences.

I connoisseur vape which may be the worst kind after quitting smokes ( 3 years plus).I require it to be perfect (in my mind).I only smoked my whole life while enjoying adult beverages(twice a week, for 20 years+), when I smoked would throw the unused pack out and worry about smokes the next time out.Now its like a sick need to enjoy without a down fall which of course is not true(100%).I only changed the flavor maybe 4 times in 20 years, now its changed 4 times a week.Do not get me wrong , vaping saved me in so many ways but it made me care about and how I get my nic almost as much as food which can cloud a mind to the important things in life.Chase things that love you back, if they do not love you and you love them , its perverted and should be toned back. This post is more for me that you but thanks for getting me to realise it

I also chain vape, specially after the wife and kids are asleep and I'm on the laptop (ecf heh). It's just so relaxing being able to vape inside the house, knowing the vapor is harmless. I tend to chain vape until I feel the driptip getting very hot and I switch to the backup PV hah.

I think I'm more addicted to the act of smoking (and making smoke rings) rather than nic. I tried some DIY ejuice with no nic (Wizard Labs is out) and I'm not having any nic craving as long as I'm vaping.

I chain gaped for two months or so. I'm 3 months into vaping and I've really slacked off. My wife used to tease me for always having it in my hand and now she asks me why I'm not vaping after 2-3 hours without a vape. I think it had a lot to do with me switching from 18mg to 24mg. I switched about 6 weeks in.

I definitely chain vape throughout the day. I smoked about 10-20 cigs a day before quitting on 3 January of this year. I find that my nicotine dependence has remained relatively consistent but I no longer crave cigarettes, particularly due to the flexibility that vapes offer in terms of how much one wishes to smoke.

I keep mine in my jacket pocket and generally puff consistently for 5-15 minutes before taking a break for an hour or so. It isn't necessarily a conscious decision; I regularly find myself reaching for my vape even when I'm not carry it.
