I've gotten to the point that I can't stand being in clubs around all that cig smoke anymore... and most of the strip clubs still allow patrons to smke inside!!! Kinda funny going from thirty years of smoking to turning green if you are around it for very long.
What you just said there is.... without question...absolutely understandable Kattdaddy.
However... here's what I find very, very peculiar in my own experience;
After only about 2 weeks of not smoking
tobacco (I quit smoking analogs [after 40+ yrs] immediately after starting to
vape)... I found the smell of
tobacco smoke to be
very difficult to be around. It was amazing to me how much my entire life had become saturated with cigarette smoke. The whole house including furniture, rugs, closets full of clothes, linens, window coverings,
everything! -- hell!-- the entire house really smelled terrible!
Also, the cars & trucks we have, the garage (workshop), .... and even the travel-trailer reeked of cigarette smoke.
Virtually
EVERYTHING had become "smoked" and was immediately detectable via my resurrected capacity to smell. This would happen anytime and every time I stepped out (even if only briefly) upon returning.
So all of my own domicile surroundings (house, vehicles etc.) eventually got cleaned up with deep cleansing efforts in order to remove lingering odors. I'm very happy to have achieved nearly total odor remediation throughout the entire house & beyond.
BUT.... once I got past about 2-1/2 months or so... I began to notice I was becoming somehow 'immune' to cigarette smoke. And that...I have to tell ya'.. was something I did
NOT anticipate. -- I still find it quite bizarre.
I regularly interact with other family members (siblings, in-laws) as well as a variety of close friends who all still smoke. I visit their homes during holidays, for dinner-parties & various social gatherings, & even ride with them in their vehicles on evenings-out & other occasions. And I'm frequently subjected (usually rather directly) to the second-hand smoke produced by these friends, family, and acquaintances. --- BUT oddly ... and very curiously.... I find myself hardly seeming to notice it much at all! I most certainly have no interest, craving, or any kind of desire at all to smoke again. Shucks! I rarely even ever think about it any more!
--- but the fact remains... I don't seem to notice it that much when other people are smoking around me.
it's just simply weird! --- go figure!
