I enjoy vaping in bed. Only thing is, each time I take a hit I feel as thou I need to "tilt" my heat up as to make the PV not completely or almost totally upside-down. I am envisioning the liquid coming forward and either damaging the device or not being sucked into the vaporization chamber / coil.

Is it advisable to keep this in mind or am I worrying for no reason?

In other words, does it make any difference the position the PV is in when toking? Is an "optimal vape" when it is upright , or this makes no difference? Thanks!

It shouldn't make any difference what position the PV is in. You don't say what devices you are using, but a good tank won't leak when turned upside down. However, if there is juice in the tube/drip tip, you will get juice in your mouth. The wicking in any tank should have enough juice to vape a few hits whether it's upside down or not. I would not recommend keeping your device inverted with a BCC tank, as it will keep fresh juice from getting to the wicking, however with a top coil tank, this should not be a problem.

The best advice would be to try it and see what happens. Just remember, it's always good to have a spare coil on hand. ;)

If using a 510 cartomizer consider getting a knucklehead drip tip. I use one while watching TV in bed and it works great:

Wheather at bed time or any other time during the day if I want to turn my top or bottom coiled clearomizer
upside down I do not expect them to leak. And, in order to make sure that does not happen is definitely
up to me and how I maintain them. Throughout the day on into the evening any of my clearos that have
liquids in them will be fully tested (vaped) at least 3 times right side up and then upside down.

Any clearos I will have at my bedside will be totally filled and tested again.
As you can see I plan to enjoy my evenings.

The one thing I KNOW I will have to do with the top coiled clearomizers is to pulled the DRIP TIP off
and BLOW THREW IT into a tissue... this is VERY IMPORTANT!
As time and again I read where
there are those who hear gurggggggling... and taste juice...
WHILE not realizing that before they
took the top off of their clearomizer to fill it.... juice was touching the top backside area of the cover
they screwed back on the clearomizer and some of the juice spread into the tube of the DRIP TIP
and that is where the NOISE AND TASTE is coming from.

CLEAN YOUR DRIP TIP and you'll be happy you did.
