Do you guys vape in front of smokers? I generally don't, but I saw a smoker outside of a cafe yesterday. I had my e-cig with me, so as I walked up to the door, I decided to pull out my e-cig while he was facing my direction. By the time I went to take a puff however, he had already turned his head away from me. I wanted to say something, but it felt out of place, so I just went inside the cafe and started vaping. As I was vaping, a guy looked at my e-cig (probably to make sure that I wasn't smoking an analog), but he never said anything to me. I also didn't say anything to him.

I actually do not go to the "smoking" area when I vape. I do not want my APV to be associated with cigarettes. Plus I like to vape in peace without people asking me a bunch of questions about it. I know it is good to share knowlege of vaping with people so they can be educated but when I am getting my vape on I don't want to be the center of attention.
I hate that we have to go to the smoking areas...we don't smoke anymore! However, I haven't had anything but questions from smokers when I am vaping. The usual: What's that? Does it help?, etc. I educate as much as time will allow. No need to be self concious...just vape away!
Yeah, I still go outside to vape once in a while when at work. Sometimes it's with a coworker who still smokes, and sometimes just to get my lazy but out of my office and force myself to take a break.
I know most of the smokers in the building and some have asked questions and/or expressed interest at times. I let them bring it up though. I'm generally not a proselytist.

I generally welcome questions I get from smokers around me, everything except "LET ME PUT MY MOUTH ON THAT" aka "Can I try it?" haha
Your question makes it seem like you're contemplating whether to soap box or not, or try to actively convert smokers to vaping, which I would discourage. If they're open minded and decent, they'll ask you about it. Don't knock on their door and hand them a pamphlet
That being said, if a smoker doesn't ask me "Hey is that an eCig?" but rather "WHAT the HECK is THAT??!"
I always reply "Straight ....." with about 5 seconds of poker face afterwards, then I give em a smile and
answer their question.

Vaping in front of Smokers
EVERY chance I get! I make a 'show' when I see a smoker; obvious slow draw and lotsa vapor. Who else are ya gonna impress with vaping and it's benefits?

Happens here too Max. I've had folks where I work ask me, "Why bother?". I just smile and ask them why bother smoking? Right back at ya!
I had a bit of fun with my friends who smoke the other night.
We were all at a bar where I am allowed to vape inside and it was raining. They kept having to go outside to smoke and got nice and damp while I stayed inside and vaped happily away.
A few of my acquaintances have started vaping recently pretty much without asking me too much initially and then just chatting to me when they see me.

I vape in front of smokers all the time. I wait for them to bring up the subject of my APV if they want. Then I answer all of the questions I have time for and tell them to check out the ECF if they want to know more.
I go to AA meetings, which are usually held in churches - so there's always a crowd of smokers outside before and after meetings. Of course I hang out and vape with the smokers - it's a social thing! And am happy to answer questions when asked but I never proselytize.
Every chance I get, as far as I see it the more smokers who see me happily vaping the better. Who knows, maybe seeing me enjoying myself will peak their curiosity enough to do some research and give them a try,(like I did) I also answer all the questions I can and point them to ECF. I just feel like if I can show someone there IS a better alternative maybe their husbands, wives or children wont have to watch them slowly die from lung cancer.

I just vape whenever wherever I want. If people feel the need to ask they will. I keep cards to pass out to the ones that do ask.

i was vaping out side of work minding my own buisness when a smoker walks up lights a .... and then proceeds to say "those things are bad for ya, ya know?" i laughed hard and told him to cite his sources.
Its depressing isn't it. I spent over a grand but it says to put that along with your weekly usage (juice, carto's etc). Then it compares it all to what you spent on analogs and gives a break even date. Where it killed my break even date is how little I spent to smoke. I bought a carton for $16 and smoked 3 a month. Comes to $576 per year. I was into half of that on mini's before I found ECF.

i vape in front of a big workforce of smokers, i even boast that what flavor i am using tastes good today, haha, i know they wanna try but they don't believe however much i try to convince them.Some people don't like change.
I did let a smoker take a puff on my e-cig because I knew the guy very well. I initiated a conversation about vaping with him because he was my friend. The only time that I vape outside is when I'm near a smoker in order to catalyze his or her interest in PV's. I obviously failed this time though lol.
From my experience most everyone is at least curious. And they typically ask the same questions over and over, it’s pretty predictable.
I used to get hassled a bit though, but that’s when I vaped the minis. They get a lot of frowns too. But my setup now doesn’t look anything like an analog so I know I’ll get curious questions instead.
