Vaping in my car at a stoplight and got a strange reaction

So, I was sitting at a stoplight, vaping away and minding my business, when I look over to my right and the guy in the vehicle next to me is smiling from ear to ear and nodding at me. I'm pretty sure he thought I was doing something illegal. I suppose if someone didn't know better, it could appear that's what I was doing, but I don't like it! I can see getting pulled over at some point in the future for this very reason. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Yikes!

I wonder what people think when I vape with the kids in the car. I mean its safe right? I don't like the dirty looks . I think I need a bumpersticker or two.

LOL! that happened to me once, except it was a young guy who glanced over and hit the gas. We were at a stop light, so thankfully he slammed the brakes in time before he smacked the car in front of him.

I have heard of vapers being pulled over by the cops for vaping, but a simple explanation and demonstration will clear up any concerns that they have (and they may ask you for an e-cig recommendation so it's a good idea to keep some business cards nearby).

Okay since I've been reading about stoplight encounters I figured I'd share mine.
I was vaping away on my Buzz at night once driving through downtown Nashville and I came to a stoplight. This gigantic pickup pulled next to me and I'm sitting here puffing out huge vapor rings and rocking out and through the music, I hear a voice. I turned down my music only to find the dude next to me in the pickup had a P.A. system on his truck (darn hick) and he was kindly letting everyone know I was toking in my car and that it was bad for me. And that I blew nice rings.
Needless to say I didn't quite know what to think lol
I just kept doin' my thing

I got some odd looking reactions from some older people while puffing on my eGo on the way to the grocery store earlier today. Something tells me that mouthing "It's an e-cig!" Wouldn't have gotten me anywhere. Whenever I talk about vaping it always turns into a half hour conversation. I can only imagine getting pulled over by an ignorant cop and having to explain it to him or her. Fortunately most cops that I know are smarter than the average bear and can figure it out.

This cracked me up! I've often wondered what would happen if you were at a stop light and a police car pulled up. I would hope these are getting more mainstream but I have wondered about it since I started vaping.

The bumper sticker idea is great! Let them glare all they want, it is really not their business.

Never had that problem, however while waiting for a service call, a man saw me vaping on my ecig and came to the window of my truck and asked for a cig. When I explained that I had no cigs and that it was an e cig, that's when I got the strange look.

i get the strange glares all the time sitting there trying to drip at the light and taking a hit, i do not carry any cards with me but as i have read this i am seriously thinking of it since where i live is kinda rural, oh and dont try n drip n drive its horrible
