There are 2 answers as far as I am concerned.

Yes, vaping is not illegal but I will think before i Vape anywhere.

But:

I don't care if it is illegal, i do care is myself benefits from Vaping.

I will Vape whether it is illegal or not. If it is legal, I will be courteous. If it is illegal, I will be discreet.

What I will NOT do is; I will not let the government make me kill myself.

Actually in the not so great state of Utah, our elected officials have redefined our law in 2010 to include electronic cigarettes. In short though, Utah defines the electronic cigarettes as any device, other than a cigarette or cigar, intended to deliver vapor containing nicotine into a person's respiratory system.

Details of the law are found here and the meat of it all start around line 287: Utah Legislature HB0088

Now, if I were someone who enjoyed vaping without the nicotine (one day I will be there), I could legally do so in public anywhere I damn well pleased because there was no nicotine.

I think we should have some respect for non smokers/vapers. I don't vape anywhere I wouldn't smoke. I think it's just polite. Maybe I'm totally off base here, but I don't think people want me blowing vapor in their face any more than they want me blowing smoke in their face. Again, maybe I'm wrong.

Same here. Now, I still use it everywhere, even grocery shopping, but not so much to make a scene. I also use PG. If I used VG, I would be discouraged the first time someone else got to walk through the cloud behind me. That would seem to be quite disrespectful. But the PG dissipates within seconds, so shoppers close by dont really even notice.
I'm sure about the time some ya-who purposefully made a scene, these same places would quickly put a personal ban in place. Unfortunately, its a only a matter of time before that ya-who rears his ugly mug.
Right now, the vaping community is like a parked car to the masses, and no dog barks at a parked car. Buts its looking like the engine has started at least, so it wont be long until the wheels are in motion, and the barking will ensue.....

I don't care if it is illegal now or in the future. I'll vape anywhere I please. I'd be discreet, of course, and do my best to respect others. I have spent the first half of my life obeying nonsensical laws such as this would be, and I intend to spend the second half of my life (which will be longer thanks to vaping instead of smoking) only giving my attention to things that really matter.

My philosophy is rather controversial, and will probably cause some jaws to drop... but here it is: I will only obey laws that aren't ridiculous.

Laws against theft, murder, rape, speeding, etc., are reasonable... even laws about smoking (and subjecting others to 2nd hand smoke) are mostly reasonable... but a "You can't do (insert controversial action here) because I don't understand what it is, and refuse to take the time to understand it" type of law is ridiculous... and I will never obey any such nonsense.

You may sound controvertial to a law-obiding-zombie-brainwashed-type of person, but actually, as many very important figures have said, a law ain't such when ridiculous and not just. Then, the rightful citizens are to act according to the very system's spirit which demands them to stand up for their rights.

I know what you mean about those brainwashed zombie types... Those good little citizens who follow every dictate passed down from on high as if they are the holy words of (insert higher power here)... and they do so blindly, without even questioning the validity or "rightness" of what they're being fed. I don't ever want to be like that.

I never carried cigarettes everywhere I went. So like some others, I don't vape where I wouldnt smoke. With minor exceptions. But I'm not so addicted that I can't be away from it long enough to shop or have a meal in a non smoking restaurant. I can go to the mall or grocery shop without needing to vape.
I don't like confrontation so I don't want to be looked at funny or asked to put it away and be made to feel like a child. I wish it wasn't that way, and hopefully that will change.

I'm right behind you in your thinking.
I do however curb it when around someone else's children. I vape in restaurants (but consider as smokers we had a separate section), but do it discretely. I was vaping in the clothing section of a Kohls, waiting on the wife..after all it leaves no residue.
Refrained so far from vaping in church...Why? I don't see a need to raise a flag and center myself out. I'm not an attention hound.
I will explain when asked, but I don't (or rarely will) ask for permission. Those days are done, after being treated like a criminal, taxed to death, and sent out into the cold with cigarettes.

The laws here (thus far) don't stipulate I can't so I will. When they stipulate I can't I will rebel....and this time, big time.

Pig vapor(not good)

As far as the poll. I chose the 3rd option, which doesn't fit my comment well.

Vaping, like any other activity, needs to be contained so that others who don't understand won't begin to consider vaping as an offensive action. If we start blowing our vapor in the faces of people they will consider us rude. We don't want vaping to develop a reputation as being inconsiderate. We want vaping to be considered a viable alternative to cigarettes and accepted by society.

I'll vape almost anywhere but I do it discretely.
