living in kentucky it seems underground but more people are asking where they can get one and just general info. so underground in fact i jsut found out my psychology teacher has 5 and he showed me because i jsut have the dse801 starter kit and he is vaping a ego and has the precious pv wich is just class lol

My first day really vaping in public (on my college campus) and all the reactions I got were positive, and a number of people were interested, had like 4 people who tried it. Nobody thought it was a cigarette though.

exactly thats why i dont understand some companies trying to make it look like and analouge and in general u find more intelligent and open minded people on college campuses (that why they are there lol).

I should add it helps that it is shiny metallic blue, with blue led. I did get it with some intention to dispel confusion. After all who in their right mind is going to think I am smoking when a little blue light comes on at the end. I really want to see how the university staff is about me vaping inside their buildings though, certainly I could argue my case, but they can be a little douchy.

You anywhere near Post??? I have driven from Albuquerque to Austin and back several times! We have camped at the KOA's in Lubbock and in Abliene too.

I have really only run into people I know vaping in public. We did have a salesperson at the RV place ask 'are those ecigs?' as we were walking around the dealer. My boyfriend has 2 510's and an eGo on one lanyard and have have 2 lanyards with 2 eGos. My coworkers say the eGo's look like markers hanging around my neck. I would love to run into fellow vapors to exchange notes!

Yep, well, in west TX terms we are - we're about an hour from Post - in a little town called Rotan (east of Snyder, north of S'water). Just stop at the Dairy Queen, someone'll point you our way. LOL

Around where in Midtown? I work on 39th between 5th & 6th.

I use my eGo and drip while I'm walking in Midtown Manhattan and I've seen someone else with an e-cig once in passing. No one has noticed while I'm out and about but I've gotten a few questions from other smokers when I'm outside on brake at work.

As far as I know they won't. Although I read somewhere on here that it might set off the ones in airplanes because they work differently. But I don't know about that first hand.

Yeah for normal smoke detectors I believe, from vague recollections so it may not be completely right heh, they only detect "darker" particles in the air, like fine ash particles from a fire that won't allow light to pass through one side to the other of a sensor and since we only exhale water vapour which is essentially clear it would take a LOT of exhalation to block that I think. It is after all only "moisture" being released. Would a smoke detector go off in a bathroom?

as noted in the airplane thread, I wouldn't recomend blowing directly into the smoke detector. It will definately set some of them off. You should be fine exhaling away from it though.
