And I'm curious to see people's expressions when in Public!

So am I, which is why I make a point of doing my public vaping with my very uncigarettelike Silver Bullet (I bought the black model because it adds to the sinister mystique).

So far, everybody just ignores me.

Well, I have been telling friends and family about vaping, they look at me like I have 3 heads. I am waiting for my first order which should be to me this week and honestly after reading all the members who converted, I'm sure I can too, but really can't wait to start vaping and explaining this to all the smokers I know!

I've run into this too. I smoked between 1 and 2 boxes of cigarettes a day for 10 years - never a peep out of my mom (she's from the Philippines and the smoke Nazis haven't yet gotten a good foothold there).

2 weeks ago I started vaping. Every time I talk to her now, she asks, "When are you going to quit using that THING?"

I've told her that cigarettes are guaranteed death (assuming you don't find another way to kill yourself sooner) and would she prefer that I go back to killing myself - her response is always, "No, you should just stop using that THING".

It drives me nuts, but I guess that is part of a mother's job...

I was at a golf tournament on Saturday and didn't try to be stealthy about vaping at all. A lot of people watched me, but nobody said anything about it until the end of the tournament, when one of the ladies I know asked me what it was. When I explained it to her, so was really curious so I let her take a drag. She was amazed and said, "OMG...it tastes just like a peanut butter cookie!" :)

She said that she had quit smoking about three years ago, but still wants a cigarette really badly when she gets stressed and that this would be the perfect solution for her. So, I got to hand out my first cards!

I went to a Casino with my husband on Saturday. While in the upstairs smoking section, no one gave me a second look. When I went downstairs to the non-smoking casino to join my husband, I got several stares - among them the security guards (who were probably wondering what, if anything, should be done about me lol) - but no one asked, made any comments, nothing. I would have gladly explained my PV to anyone who asked about it, though I have to admit even though I don't stealth vape I prefer to keep a low profile. I have yet to see another vaper besides me :(

I usually vape my BSB at home due to the size and take the BB or Provape out in public. I have seen only one other vaper some time ago, but a barmaid in Lucille's Smokehouse said her boyfriend has one so vaping at the bar was fine with her.
More smokers are complaining lately since they have to go outside and I don't. Some bars ask me to go out as well so THEY don't have to explain.

I use my when I'm out. Last week at my son's football game I sat in the stands and vaped. (It was an intense game and he was getting the crap beat out of him and not in the usual football I play by the rules way) I was just discreet about it while in the stands but at half time I went out with my friends and vaped while they smoked. I find when I vape in public that people have a lot of questions and I just try to answer them the best that I can.

Best one yet was I was attending a high school football game and they have a zero tolerance tobacco policy on school grounds. While helping in the concession stand I was watching a police office stealth vaping at the game. I just had to go over to him and pull out my V4L and join him.

Now THAT is just awesome! Sooo many cops smoke; the company I work for does network support for a couple of Parish LE agencies here, as well as DHS, and our "main guy" for those accounts is one I recently converted to vaping. Target the police for conversion! They must be assimilated! Resistance is futile!

Seriously, though, I'd love to have some jackass call the cops on me for "smoking" in public, only to have the responding officer whip out a box mod. That would make my decade :)

I was always a stealth smoker, so I've pretty much been a stealth vaper. I never smoked in my cars, houses, or anywhere I would consider 'public', at least when I'm in the US lol. After being at the same company for 14 years I still occasionally would get caught and get the "I didn't know you smoked" lecture lol. I tried to be a non-conformist vaping at Starbucks last week, but go soooo many nasty stares I decided to keep it to myself :p

I'm getting ready to head over to our Thailand plant again. I'm curious to see how it is received over there, although I had previously seen a few vapers at local clubs(local as in I'm the only foreigner in there lol), I just hope I'm not breaking any laws hauling the juice back and fourth.

I'm flying from NJ to CA next month on business and I'm really excited to try out being able to vape on the plane, but at the same time don't want to end up with a full body cavity search. Anyone vape on an airplane before? Do ecigs set off the smoke alarm in the airplane bathrooms?

That just screams "abuse my rights I'm an easy target" right there the way they act in airports nowadays. I'd say keep it to yourself and just do it in the bathroom if you take it, it isn't smoke so the detector should be chill. And god forbid it's not a material that sets off the metal detectors... Good luck if you decide to take it, let us know how that works out.

I vape in public all the time. Walking about the streets, in the stores, at work between dealing with customers and stocking I'll puff on it. Got my manager to start puffing one. She didn't really like it and is still smoking analogs, but she's cool with my choice and lets me vape in the store so it's all good, her loss lol. Customers ask about it all the time, but passerbys in the streets usually keep silent and just gawk at me.

I live in a very small town and have only seen a couple of people at work vape. Probably cause I did it first and they decided it was a good idea too!!! I have yet to see anyone in other public places even bars!!! In the bigger cities around me either!!! Not even on Bourbon St New Orleans where there's people from everywhere!!! I'm gonna look for some again this week while I'm there!!!

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
i would think alot of LEO's (law enforcement officers) are smokers, just like nurses, due to the nature of our profession-stress.
and i dont think that they are allowed to "smoke" in patrol cars.
vaping would be a great option for them.
ecig suppliers would be wise to advertise in magazines for law enforcement and on forums for law enforcement
