So far I haven't seen anyone else
vaping in public except for friends and family that have started
vaping recently in light of our new little discovery

.
I'm kind of shy about my
vaping, usually just go outside to vape when I'm in public, but not neccesarily in the smoking section, lol! I had my first venture with them in a restaurant/bar last Monday night. I live in Oregon, and many people here have been misinformed by the media that "Oregon has banned e-cigarettes".
I went to a place called Chicago Pizza, sat in the pub area and asked the waitress if it was ok for me to use my personal vaporizer. She asked what it was and I told her I used it to quit smoking and that it is also called an electronic cigarette. I took a draw and blew out the vapor and said "see, no smoke...can you smell anything?" She moved closer and I vaped again, she was impressed and said she thought it should be fine but would need to ask the bartender. The bartender said it was fine unless people started to complain...no complaints, I was so happy to find a place that I could vape indoors, yay!
Tonight I went back armed just in case there were complainers...Someone had been kind enough to post a tri-fold flyer from the CASAA website here in our forum, so I printed some up and put them in my purse. Here is the link, pretty easy to print and fold:

There was a different waitress working tonight, so I asked her the same question that I had asked the previous waitress and handed her one of the flyers. She said it was fine and that they would keep the flyer behind the bar just in case they ever run into an issue with it.
About a half an hour later the waitress comes back and says she's had to explain to numerous customers what I was doing...but it was no big deal

. I handed her a couple of other flyers to hand out to the curious onlookers. They immediately looked over at me and gave me the thumbs up! It was quite and exciting experience

I highly recommend having some of these flyers on hand, they come in handy without you having to do all the explaining.
