Vaping in public

My workmate was asking PV questions recently and i was showing him some of the people's setups on this forum.
He looks at a big shiney GG with an i-atty attached and asks with a serious face if you can get one from the pharmacist in the NRT section.

The more we openly vape but in a respectful manner and be ready to educate others, the more acceptance we will garner. And as others have mentioned, it's much better to have a model that looks nothing like a cigarette. I've made up little hand-out cards when someone show more than passing interest.
If it DOESN'T look like a cigarette than people will think your doing other things, no thanks I don't want that kind of attention. Just my 2 cents.

The first Tobacco shop e-cig I had, we were using at the beach... I had a woman walk over to me and tell me that there is a fine if caught smoking on the beach... I politely told her I wasnt smoking... so with a little attitude she said "well I saw the smoke"... So I pulled it out and showed it to her... She was very excited about it... Her mom had had died of lung cancer 6 months before... she was gonna tell every smoker she knew about them

I was at a local casino last night and told that I could not vape in the non smoking sections of the casino. I tried to educate the security guard to the best of my newbie ability, however it didn't work. "It's no different than smoking, put it away now!"
Keep walking. Don't look back. If someone wants to honestly talk about vaping, cool; if not, why waste my time? Also, if anytime looks to "shame me" in public, I briefly tell them what I'm doing, then tell them to educate themselves, before they make a big mistake. Most people looking to shame others in public seem to miss the point that not all people will tolerate that, and that it could lead to some unfortunate circumstances.
Being only a couple weeks in the game I'm still apprehensive. One idea I had for the mall is when I felt the need is go sit at a bench near the e cig kiosk. You know those fools constantly puff away. If Lance the mallcop says something all I have to do is point to the kiosk.
Bring a BIG BATTERY MOD (I mean a really big mod) and let the mall kiosk clerk see it.

I used to be apprehensive of vaping in public when I first started, I would go around stealth vaping and blowing it into my shirt. Depending where I am atm I still do. Lately I started relaxing a bit and vaping more openly. If people are annoyed by it I move over some, I try to be respectful as If I was still smoking analogs, fortunately nobody ever really got in my face about it, if anything I get looks of curiosity, if someone asks me about it, I am more then willing to stop and explain exactly what they are, how it works and so on.
