Vaping in public.....

Last night we had to go get eye exams and new glasses. I took along my 401 and while I was waiting and looking at frames, I was vaping. There were three employees and maybe 4 customers in the store at the time. Everyone was looking at me (even though they were not obvious about it) but no one said anything to me. I was called in to get the exam and when I came back out, I resumed vaping in the store.

Finally one of the employees came up to me and asked me what that was. I showed him the 401 and broke it down to the three components...ie cart, battery and atomizer. Turns out he quit analogs cold turkey about 2 weeks ago and seemed very interested. I gave him a couple web sites to explore, including this one.

Just wondering if anyone else had vaped in a public place? What was the reaction if any? Tell us your experience.....BFB

I get this in at least one per week in a bar The blue LED gets a lot of attention! lol I have been stopped all over the place. People say is that one of those uh, and I say electronic cigarettes? oh, yeah....do you like it? Then I say yes and explain my new found love.

I would have to say that my best vaping in public account thus far would be at my local Aldi. I carry my 901 with me pretty much everywhere, and usually vape anywhere.

I am doing my weekly shopping, when another customer asked what it was that I was doing. I informed her that I was vaping on an e-cig, gave the details of it, etc...

She seemed quite interested, as she is a local police officer and would love the ability to vape in the cruiser. She gave me her business card and said to call her later in the week with more information.

Today a police officer, tomorrow the world...

I vaped up and down the grocery store isle yesterday. Not because I needed the nic or felt like I had to do it, I just WANTED to do it just because....... I could. One thing, though, I still try to be half way discreet in public, and usually when you are, no one even notices. I'd go down isle where no one else was. If I was on video, I'm sure the camera dude in the sky was watching a show.

no... i don't go out of my way to vape in abnormal places just because i can. I went bowling the other night and the sign said "NO SMOKING EXCEPT IN BAR AREA" so i strolled over to the bar area and had a vape with all the smokers. No big deal , id rather not draw any more attention to what i'm doing.

That's really my stance on things.

I'll vape at home and in my office, but I don't do it in no-smoking restaurants or the grocery store.

I'm definitely not passing judgment on anyone that chooses to do that, but I just don't like the thought of possibly getting hassled or having to answer questions.

If someone asks, I'll give them all the information I can. I also tell my smoking friends about them (One has already switched over to vaping, full-time).
