Lucky for me, I work in a smaller office. No HR, and my boss lets us police ourselves. My co-workers were so excited that I quit smoking!
They asked how my PV was going, and had all the questions, does it smell, is there lots of 'smoke' etc. I told them I vape at work all day and they couldn't believe it. So now I'm allowed to vape as much as I want, with everyone's blessing.
Hopefully, if you get some info together, and can present it to HR, and make sure to keep your vaping unobtrusive, and inoffensive, that one AH that's always lurking will leave you alone.
Good luck!

I see you figured out my "AH" terminology. :) You must have encountered one of those AH's somewhere. We have a major AH in our office that says some of the smokers were not in the correct designated smoking area OUTSIDE, and the smoke was coming in the building (warehouse not office). There is no designated area other than outside, at my work place. This is going to be interesting.

Ah, yes, very familiar with the AHs. I think they breed in the back rooms of our offices. We deal with a lot of them throughout the day.Which is why the thought of quitting was so hard. it was a toss up for me.
Smoke = die of cancer
No smoke = murder, and life in prison.

Lucky for me, there's these wonderful little devices to keep me murder free!!! :laugh:

Since I started vaping eight weeks ago I have converted six other people at my work. Now what scares me is I sometimes take a few secret puffs at my desk. Now some of these new vapors are starting the "we should be able to vape at our desk" talk. I only vape cappuccino flavor at my desk so not to alarm anyone. I found out the girl in my department has a super nose. I took a couple of puffs of kiwi strawberry and she was "hmmm something smells really good... what is that... does anyone else smell that." Now I probably could have told her because everyone is happy I quit and getting everyone else at work to switch even some management. Now some of the new vapors like regular tabacco flavors that could make AH show their colors. Also I found some resentment from analog smokers and a few ex-smokers. I would be happy if this doesn't go to HR, but with so many of us making the switch it is going to happen and don't think it will favor the vapors... but I'm very happy about so many of us making the switch.

I work for my university's housing and luckily most of the smokers there moved to e-cigs when the campus implemented a smoke ban. Our director and assistant director both encourage the use of them over tobacco. When we're in the office we can only use them out of view in the side offices. I vape openly with no issues at all when I'm working at the desk of my hall and my supervisors have no problems with it. Luckily the whole department is supportive of them and have even helped a resident out when they were being questioned by a campus officer.

My FT job is a small place and I can. My prn job is a bigger company and I can't, not only in the building but ON THE PROPERTY. :mad: I work 10 hour shifts and am only allowed to leave the property once on a 30 minute lunch, and sometimes work alone so I can't even leave for lunch. Of course, I am in a room behind a closed door where no one but my coworker can see me. 2 of them don't mind so I will vape away. If the 3rd person that is supposed to start work does start I will vape in the potty. :evil:

Just do it! Tactfully ofcourse, don't whip it out right in the middle of the morning meeting but at your desk should be an issue. If need be talk to your co-workers and explain. However most ppl don't have the balls to say anything to you about it, at the worst you have to convince the big boss it's cool then everyone else can eat ****
