Vaping isn't satisfactory. What's wrong?

I respectfully disagree, I almost think you don't need a lot of willpower...you need more nic and the right device.
I know that's just me but I smoked for 21 years and tried quitting SO many times... and here I am for the first time in my life knowing I will never go back to cigarettes because they taste gross to me now and I adore vaping! Just my take, but I feel strongly that once you get enough nic, it will be SO much easier [emoji4]
Science disagrees Chels. Tobacco has an effect on our bodies that nicotine alone does not. I'm happy it was easy for you. Congratulations! Yet many still struggle even with all the correct factors and such a great quitting aid in vaping.

We are all wired differently. Some people can be social smokers at a party. I'm not one.

I believe that switching from cigarettes to vaping do requires will-power (how much? how hard? I guess it is different in all of us)

I do know that it helps me and it might be the only way I can overcome 25 years of smoking.

Vaping gives you more than what you loose when quitting analogues, vaping adds not subtracts... Yes, you smoke no more and maybe vaping is not as satisfactory but it really helps quitting, tastes good, it is fun and interesting, it develops character and discipline, eases the anxiety of quitting, and also lets me be part of this wonderful community.

An also, vaping lets me say to Big Tobacco, Big Pharma and the government that I do have brains and can decide for myself, that there are better options and that they can go ... ... ... .., far away.

The one cigarette I had to have was my first with my coffee. Or two or three..:) Then I would challenge myself to go the rest of the day without. Still having the next morning to look forward to when I would allow myself another cig. Eventually made it a full day. Had the morning one, which turned out to be my last. Kind of annoyed I did and that was it.

That took a week after finding the right setup over a months period. Cigalikes v2,joyetech ego-c, 1300 vision spinner with an evod(quit here), vamo with a protank..and that was1/23/13

Genny's, mechs, rtas, bottom feeders,reos,CC, custom modified, DIY liquids...I haven't $aved a thing but, I'm healthier...

Looks like you have been pointed in the right direction. I would only add that trying some flavors that sound good to you might help in getting off the cigs. I had no interest in flavors when I started, but once I found a flavor I really liked there was no way I was going to go for a smoke over that great vape.

When I first started vaping I was on the search for the closest tobacco to a Marlboro and said I would never be vaping flavors like many of the 100 I have at the moment! Just take it slow and find one you enjoy is the first step. Now I here they actually make a Marlboro e-Liquid!

Hey fellow New Yorker @EddieAdams! Yeah I know what you mean about a Cigarette and Coffee but then I discovered the Bakery lines of Flavored e-Liquids and missing a smoke with my coffee was history!
I got turned away from bakery early on because before we knew as much as we do now about diketones, bakery type flavoring was what you steered clear of. I loved it too. Just figured wasn't worth the risk. Cigs contain 600x more diacytel and 15x more acetoin than any flavoring. Smokers haven't gotten "popcorn lung"...That's my reasoning now.

Try WOW from FA. Great jelly donut. Like it at 3-4%.

Yeah Huntington LI...

I started with a tobacco flavor and have been using a house juice named "Reds" with my morning coffee for over a year....even started mixing it 50/50 with some DIY unflavored. But alas, they have now stopped making it. When my stash is gone, will be trying plain unflavored with my coffee before changing out to my Coffee Cake mid morning vape.

Try Hangsen USA Red. Mix low % like 1-2% with a little TA/EM mix drop per 5ml

Favorite tobacco was BWB Casablanca and of course Bobas. Casa was my favorite though.

In my personal experience, I went through withdrawals when quitting smoking and moving on to vaping. For me, I only allowed myself to have 2 cigarettes a day. After 2 weeks I dumped the cigarettes and went full time vaping and never looked back. After that it took me almost 6 months to find my all day vape and a device I truly liked. I truly believe there are other, a lot of other addicting chemicals in cigarettes besides nicotine. Like many others have suggested, try a higher nicotine level, but go MTL. I believe I started out at 18mg of nicotine. I smoked a pack to a pack 1/2 of red 100s daily. For some the transition takes time...hang in there.

I'm with you on this one. I know everyone is different, but I smoked for 30 years and quit easily . It didn't happen with my first device, a cig a like, but as soon as I switched to a tank, which in my case was a rebuildable genny with 24mg nic, it was actually easy and I never even thought of having a cig since. That was 6 years ago and and I'm still vaping kind of similiar tanks and nic.

I was the opposite. It was a cigalike that got me off. Then again, it was a Vuse cigalike, which is 48 mg nic. It was only after several months that I started to hunt down other solutions to move on to as U saw the pile of empty expensive cartridges (which weren't even all that empty, just cut of by the built in chip) stack up that I found "real" vaping.

I do believe vaping offers smokers an effective path off cigs. But just as some people are successful with patches, gum, or pills, it's all a matter of discovering what works for the individual. Let's face it, not everyone who takes up vaping stops smoking forever. A lot do, a lot don't. It is one more tool to stopping, and one of the more effective ones, but it's not 100% effective, and I would encourage anyone who fails at vaping to keep exploring other solutions, even returning to try vaping again down the road when either they are more open to it, or whatever personal dislike has been corrected in the market.

Patches and gum never worked for me. I needed the replacement that mimicked the hand to mouth motions of cigs. But what worked (or didn't) for me will be different for others.
