vaping more than smoking?

I bought an e-cig mainly because it seemed like a healthy alternative to smoking, AND as a tool to wean myself off of cigarettes. Plus I love the concept and the colored LED lights. But I was just wondering, with vaping in place of smoking, do you actually take in more nicotine per day? I'm worried I'll become more addicted to nicotine and want to puff on it more (than I would cigarettes) and end up spendin more money on replacement parts and juices and whatnot. Has usin e-cigs actually saved you money and do you find yourself "smoking" more?

To tell you the truth, I don't know. I have found myself vaping less often than I used to smoke, but for longer periods of time.. I use low or medium nic juice, so I think I may be consuming slightly more nicotine in the long run..

As far as money is concerned.. I did monitor how much money I was spending vaping vs. smoking and in 2 weeks I had broken even (after the price of my first ecig and juice). So I definitely noticed a savings.

i think i've changed my smoking habit. instead of having 20 puffs in succession every half hour or so, i now take maybe 1-3 puffs every five-ten minutes if i'm at my computer. when im out and about, it varies.

stay off the high stuff if you're worried and i will say this. tobacco companies use ammonia in their products that allows them to get away with putting less nicotine in their cigarettes but actually makes them far more addictive than nicotine on it's own. Philip morris was the first company to employ this technique and their sales increased magnificently due to the fact that cigarette smokers were not able to satisfy that level of craving with any other cigarette once they had tried a PM brand. other tobacco companies soon caught on and now this technique is use across all brands.

you might notice as i did that at first electronic cigarettes wont completely satisfy your cravings and you will be tempted to have an odd cigarette. this is in part due to the fact that your body has to be weaned off the "free-base" nicotine found in cigarettes due to the ammonia.

In the week I've been vaping I find that I'm vaping alot less than I smoke. I used to set up times to have cigarattes during the day to day routine: breakfast then a cigarette, cigarette then shower, drive to work w/ a cigarette, cigarette before I walk in the building, then allowing myself to smoke two cigarettes per 10 min break every hour, at least 3-5 cigarettes at lunch . . . and so on. Now, I basically only vap on low-nic carts when I have a craving. It's workin' out pretty well thus far.

I am finding it difficult to measure. Could do with a little device that counts the puffs. If I think about it, more gets vaped.
I smoke the e-cig more consistantly, but there is a much longer gap between pulls. I may have smoked less in the last two dayswhen working than with my normal roll ups. With the roll ups I would normaly have rushed out at every oppurtunity to grab a smoke. 12 big drags and back in again. With the e-cig I just took a pull when it was needed.

its strange i do vape more then i smoked just bc its more convenient to vape away. although i can go for hours without vaping where after an hour of not having a cig i would get antsy. strange would think i was getting more nicotine but the huge craving isnt there even when i go for awhile without a vape

My case is more like JHernandez's I think. I was smoking constantly all day and evening.. at least 30 cigs.. before this after that, while driving, with the coffee, while waiting something... 2-3 cigs in a row was normal...
So its hard to vape so much ;)

Another thing I noticed is that when I dont vape for some time I dont miss it so much like the real cigs... sometimes I even wonder if I want to vape at this particular moment or not...

It's funny - I still like to go outside every so often and smoke a real cig, especially in the morning. Vaping outside in the cold or in my car just does not do it for me. Inside the office, or at home after work, I hardly think about the real ones. On especially stressful days, I go outside for the real thing more often, but still no more than 6-7 a day. Usually no more than 3-4.

I find that I vape rather... constantly.
I smoked about 30+ cigarettes a day.
(I'm a delivery driver currently, so smoking while driving got into a big habit)
While I'm working I'll vape constantly when I'm driving.
At home I probably take about 10 hits an hour roughly.
Luckily I'm using the pen style and I only burn through a little more than one cartridge a day.
I need to invest in the car charger though :p (I've had two analogs since vaping because my battery was dead :/)
I need to switch down to medium or low cartridges, though.
I'm using high now.
