I use a Spinner by Vapros. I use a liquid that has 100% PURE NICOTINE and Natural Vegetable Glycerin ONLY. I purchase this as BURLEY BEARD tobacco flavor. I find that using a natural and pure organic E-liquid allows me, personally, to sleep better at night knowing I'm NOT vaping "chemicals".
I would like to know what opinions any of you may have re: using a E-liquid such as this. Yes, I know, nicotine is bad for you. Before I began vaping almost 3 years ago I was smoking 5 Swisher Sweet cigars DAILY. The first time I tried vaping was the LAST time I smoked a cigar.

I guess it depends on what each of us thinks is important to us, individually. For myself, I was just happy to get away from a pack a day habit that I could not walk away from. I had tried MANY different ways and was unsuccessful...until I discovered e-cigs. Since then, my lungs have gotten better.

You will get all different opinions. Basically it does come down to what you, personally, are willing to use. :)

Kinda funny how we NEVER tried to be healthy by smoking natural organic cigarettes and now that we vape certain ingredients are bad for us, even when the cigs were 1000 times worse. I'm on the fence about some of the "bad stuff" found in vape. As far as I'm concerned it's up to each individual.

So true and the air you breath probably contains more crap than any juice you will ever try. Nicotine is not completely bad for you. There are just as many studies saying its fine as there are saying its bad. By the way, a lot of the food you eat nicotine-content-of-veggies.gif

Yep. Tons of this is subjective and has been taken out of context. Nicotine is nicotine, whether it's plant derived or otherwise obtained... the body doesn't know the difference whether it's organic. The same is true of VG. If it's 99.5% pure (the remaining 0.5 percent being primarily water absorbed from the atmosphere), the body can't tell if it's organic or soy based... neither can you. It's all about that purity level. It so happens that food grade VG tends to be more pure.

Whatever the case is as to the potential dangers of vaping (not as safe as breathing the ambient air around you, to be sure), smoking is bloody dangerous and vaping is far less so. Definitely a better alternative... I've certainly seen health improvements in four years!

Well, that settles it... according to the twisted, one sided logic of all that anti vape propoganda, we all need to quit eating eggplant.

There are some big name organic cigarettes, actually. American Spirit is one. Granted, it's been four years or so, but from what I remember, it was an exceptional smoke... particularly the perique cigarettes. When considering a product where the consumer directly consumes a plant (tobacco leaf, in this instance), organic does make a big difference. None of the leaves had ever been chemically treated at all. Made for a good smoke... an expensive one, too.

Yes! I ran into the girls at the bar giving out coupon for American Spirit and smoked them whenever I had coupons (they put you on a mailing list and send coupons, 1-2 packs for $2 total)
It took some getting used to but after that initial wtf (kind of like switching from eating processed crap to eating whole foods lol!) it was awesome.
But I love vaping much more. As for ingredients, it doesn't bother me so much, but I tend to go with a higher VG, if not Max. And the only tobacco vapes I'll do are NET's... mainly because they taste so much better.

I figure that I've done so much harm to my lungs and liver over 20 years of partying and smoking that if something bad resulted, it would have happened by now. This is a choice that I made to vape and like all decisions, there will be some risk. If someone told me that I could have a 5% chance of lung damage from using a certain juice or a 3% from another, I would continue to use the 5% if I liked it. I was killing myself for half of my life and now I'm doing better and I don't buy organic food either. My time will come but until it does, I want to enjoy my life without worrying about the little things. This is my opinion.

Like in many things, marketing has people confused. Natural and organic do not equate to healthy. Like tj99959 stated, diacetyl is a naturally occurring compound as are many poisons. Just because something is natural or organic it doesn't mean it is safe or healthy to ingest or vape.

As far as nicotine being unhealthy, it is a (naturally occurring) poison but as with anything, the poison is in the dose. Water in high enough doses will kill you (and in much smaller doses will kill you if inhaled). My research into nicotine has shown many positives when used in moderation (and anecdotal evidence supports that I'm much more pleasant to be around when I have it). There are cognitive benefits as well as medicinal which are being explored.

My :2c: is that individuals need to research for themselves the effects of what we are vaping and determine the level of risk they are comfortable with.

Life is not a safe endeavor, my dad always told me getting old ain't for sissies :)

Pardon my disjointed rambling, haven't had enough nicotine or caffeine yet this morning :|

natural just means the chemicals were made and or combined
in biological environment. synthetic means the same chemicals
were made and or combined in a process other than biological.
lemon flavor extracted from a lemon as opposed to the same
chemicals obtained from different sources mixed in a test
tube making lemon flavor.

The most dangerous thing in ecigs is the flavoring, and believe me, there are a lot of toxic and carcinogenic substances found in some flavorings.

If you think nicotine is the only toxin in ecigs then you don't know much about ecigs. Nickel, chromium, dikatones, artificial colorings, and acids causing metal leachings, just to name a few are all present in many ecigs, and are all toxic. The only way to truly avoid toxins is to know not only what is in your juice, but also what is in contact with that juice and how they chemically react to one another. (Nickel coils can leach nickel into juices containing citric acid for example)

It may have been an over statement but our air isn't pure oxygen. Think of all the crap we have as a whole pumped into the atmosphere over the decades. (and still are) How many toxins are in your juice, how much carbon dioxide and so on. Just a few things in everyday life: Indoor Air Quality | Hazards You Need to Know - Consumer Reports
