So true and the air you breath probably contains more crap than any juice you will ever try.

Maybe, in a fairly to moderately polluted area... but the issue with this logic is that while you vape, you also inhale that crappy air from the atmosphere, so you're still getting the crap and the vapor.

Ultimately, NOT introducing any foreign substances (like VG and PG vapor) into the lungs is always better for you than doing it. All of that said, though, I reiterate what I said... smoking is bloody dangerous and vaping is nowhere near as much... and a much safer alternative.

Combined reply to two recent posts... I recall reading with interest recently a discussion here about a "peer reviewed scientific study" that reported various toxic metals in ecig vapor. The study also mentioned in passing that the levels of metals in the vape vapor was comparable to the metals found in the ambient air of the test environment. Duh! Wonder where the metals came from?
Of course the headline of the study was "Metallic Toxins found in ecig vapor will kill you!" or some such thing rather than "Metallic toxins found in our ambient air will kill us!"

I find that using a natural and pure organic E-liquid allows me, personally, to sleep better at night knowing I'm NOT vaping "chemicals".
Tobacco smoke is "natural"; glycerine vapor is a "chemical. I can't speak for everyone, but I know which one I'd rather put into my lungs. Just because something is "natural," doesn't mean it's better for you...

There are some big name organic cigarettes, actually. American Spirit is one. Granted, it's been four years or so, but from what I remember, it was an exceptional smoke... particularly the perique cigarettes. When considering a product where the consumer directly consumes a plant (tobacco leaf, in this instance), organic does make a big difference. None of the leaves had ever been chemically treated at all. Made for a good smoke... an expensive one, too.

Just so people know, Just because it's organic does not mean that it is chemical or pesticide free. There is a number of organic pesticides on the market that are approved to be classified as organic. It's not whether or not it's chemically treated, but the origins of where the chemicals and pesticides come from. Chances are however, that Tobacco plants don't need to be treated for insects, since Nicotine is the plant's defence against insects. But, plants CAN be treated with nicotine or other chemicals to ward off insects and fungus, and still be considered organic by the USDA.

I've always been skeptical about the terms "organic" and "all natural". Without pesticides, I always thought that the plant won't be left to develop as well as one that is pest free. Sure, there's no pesticide residue, but if the plant has fungus growing in it's roots, then how healthy is the fruit from that plant? or if bugs eat away at the leaves, then it won't allow for proper growth.

So "all natural" or "organic" has little strenght in my decision making process. I do think it is a better form of agriculture, but I believe it's not an end-all classification. Same goes for Ejuice, since most of the ingredients can be classified as organic anyways.

LOL... NICOTINE is one of them. Nicotine is classified as an organic pesticide.

Being "natural" or "organic" means nothing. Anthrax is both natural and organic.

The problem I have with this statement, that is repeated endlessly here by even the most devout vapers, is that it applies an absolute zero tolerance philosophy to one single aspect of our lives.

We will never know the effect of all the radio wave radiation we subject ourselves to. We will never know because there are no human control samples left on this planet that experience a radio free environment. But NO ONE says that we should all get rid of our wireless routers and cell phones because a radio-free world "must be better". Those people are, quite literally, brushed off as "tin hatters".

We never hear anyone suggest we should stay out of urban areas whenever possible to avoid pollutants, and never drive down the highway with our windows down. Never. But surely it must be better to avoid pollution when at all possible. That means no entertainment nights in the city, should you live in the suburbs. No unnecessary use of highways.

Do we really know that long term (40+ years) use of caffeine is truly harmless? Are there any human control samples that have never consumed caffeine that could be used in epidemiological studies? That means no coffee, no tea, no soda, no energy drinks, no nothing that contains caffeine. Surely we should not ingest anything unnecessarily. Especially something known to be addictive like caffeine.

Everyone is so propagandized by the ANTZI they don't even realize it. If you made a list of everything that *could* hurt you, that *hasn't been studied enough" (try proving those negatives) and railed on about the "potential dangers" we would all just find a bridge to jump off. But we don't. We accept low to minuscule risk and we accept we don't know everything and go about our lives.

Except for vaping, which is held to a special standard, by almost everyone, even most of the truly devout here.

I see it way more as an offset to the flat vaping is safe as an ear flicking back to reality. As with everything you will have extremist on both side but the vast majorities take a midline view and as far the the whole tossing in of the "ANTZ" catch all phrase that's even more annoying then the ear flicking...

When I'm asked I tell them... nicotine is no more harmful than caffeine, and is actually a vitamin (which always perks their interest if not incredulity) and there is no credible scientific research indicating any known harm from vaping.

Just the facts, Ma'am. To answer any other way is to spin it, even if the spin is propaganda you don't believe. "Safe" is not (or no longer) a technical or scientific description. In the modern world, it is a political statement.

Why is that a problem for you? It's the absolute truth.

Ultimately, the healthiest option is to put nothing but clean, fresh, pure air in to your lungs. There isn't a single contaminate you can add to air that makes it safer than clean, fresh, pure air.

And it's a fallacy to claim that air pollution is worse than vaping. There is nothing about an ecigarette that purifies the air coming in to it, so when you're vaping your only adding more contaminates to the polluted air you breathe. That pollution comes right through your ecig and then you're adding whatever is in your ecig to it. The pollution isn't removed from the air by your ecig.

You're so worried about your fabled "ANTZ" that you're willing to defy common sense and simply logic to push your agenda. Common sense says the healthiest possible option is to breathe clean air that is free from ALL contaminates, and the more contaminates you add the less healthy it is. And before you start trying to find a "problem" with that why don't you see if you can find a single medical or scientific study that suggests that breathing contaminates of any kind is safer than breathing clean, pure air.

My point is that no one frets (or at least obsesses) about air pollution but "everyone" frets endlessly about what harm "might" come from vaping. I did not suggest air pollution is more or less harmful than vaping. I don't know, nor does anyone else. It is considered an "acceptable risk" in the modern world, and a risk most of us take even when not necessary.

We take very modest risks in our pursuit of enjoyment of life. But vaping is held to a far different standard. Only because of all the ANTZ propaganda. If it were looked at truly objectively, based on what is actually known, and the unknowns were looked at in the same context as all the other unknowns in our modern world, it would be viewed as no more potentially harmful than all the other things we do.

Yup. I actually read that before and it explained different levels of organic, but I couldn't find that site. I just didn't want to drop that piece of info without having some sort of reference to back it up. :)

It may have been an over statement but our air isn't pure oxygen. Think of all the crap we have as a whole pumped into the atmosphere over the decades. (and still are) How many toxins are in your juice, how much carbon dioxide and so on. Just a few things in everyday life: Indoor Air Quality | Hazards You Need to Know - Consumer Reports
Carbon dioxide is not a toxin in its usual quantities. I am waiting on your "so on". And I do not need any crap from Consumer report (sleazy magazine).
We need to remember that air in the USA is pretty clean, especially compared to some other countries.

I use a Spinner by Vapros. I use a liquid that has 100% PURE NICOTINE and Natural Vegetable Glycerin ONLY. I purchase this as BURLEY BEARD tobacco flavor. I find that using a natural and pure organic E-liquid allows me, personally, to sleep better at night knowing I'm NOT vaping "chemicals".
I would like to know what opinions any of you may have re: using a E-liquid such as this. Yes, I know, nicotine is bad for you. Before I began vaping almost 3 years ago I was smoking 5 Swisher Sweet cigars DAILY. The first time I tried vaping was the LAST time I smoked a cigar.
100% pure huh....natural huh....no chemicals huh...you keep thinking that if it helps you sleep
the flavoring is not natural, it takes a bunch of different chemicals to recreate something that has the flavor of something else
