A few mentioned "Rebuildable Atomziers" ... these are a $ saver

I have this one, it's called "Hebel V3 Rebuildable Atomizer" - Hebel V3 Rebuildable Atomizer
It's build good, looks nice, it's diameter is that of the ego type batteries & it does work pretty good. I use this for sampling/testing different juices I try to make.
The great thing about rebuildable atomizers, is that, you only have to replace the wick & coil. It's not hard to wrap the wire around the silica wick and replace the old one with the new you made ... if you can thread a needle, then you do this. Lots of youtube videos out there showing how to do it. Also, the wire & wicks are pretty cheap.

Have a look ... this is what it looks like on my eGo 650mah battery.

On a side note ... juice "HOGS"
I own a vision vivi nova & mini nova "rebuildable atomizer", also a mini-did clone "genesis style rebuildable atomizer" ... these devices will go through juice, much, much, much faster than your way of dripping.

I agree that DIY is ridiculously simple and cheap,,,,,and I can make my juice in whatever proportions of VG/PG I want at any nic level I want,,,,,,,figure out what percentage flavor you like and you are good to go for most simple juices,,,,,,,,then you can experiment with mixes too!

I'm sure rebuildable attys are probably much cheaper than cartos, but I like cartos, and I'm not ready for rebuildables yet,,,maybe later. I buy my blank cartos at Revolution Vapor (808 type) for 20.00 for 20 cartos,,,,,,plus I save 15% with a coupon code and get shipping for free because I spend more than 30 bucks (I buy two packs),,,,,,

I like the Smokeless Image Volts,,,,,20-30 bucks depending on size and they are also pass throughs, which saves on battery life when you're sitting at the computer or watching TV,,,,,,,I'm very satisfied with where I am price wise,,,,,,,

less than 40 bucks a month for two of us to vape.

Shop Shop and shop!

For instance

GoodProphets.com - Your View into the World of Vaping...

These nice folks have decent juice (under 2 bucks for 10ml) , AND DeKang AND rebuildable attys. I have a Phoenix on my wishlist :)

Like was said earlier ........'s Vapor Joes - Daily Vapor Deals has a really good nose for great deals and it's updated daily (at least).

The PIF forum is awesome and so is the Deals and Steals thread here:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/pay-forward-pif/85781-deals-steals.html

I want to look into making my own jooose, but I want to learn to rebuild an atty also. Some suggest not using a rebuildable atty on an EGO but I,too, concerned about cost, am not sure about that yet. You can find variable voltage for as cheap as 15 bucks and even under 10 bucks, the latter being from China. I got a variable ego (3.6, 3.8,4.2) for 11 bucks and that included shipping. Downside it took most of about a month to get it.

I spend literally most of the day researching stuff about vaping. I am really getting myopic with it, but hey you can learn ALOT in a little time.

If your going to drip, do it with a bridgeless atty from Empire Mods EmpireMods . I have one of their bridgeless I vape like Mt. Krakatoa and the attys just go on a LONG time. Keith runs it and has and will go as far as necessary to satisfy a customer. Probably my most fav hardware vendor.

Anything else please PM me and I will help as I can. This vaping is a GREAT thing! :)

Did anyone mention the provari yet? Someone had to do it...

Rebuildables and DIY is where you will save money. And not being a gear ...... Me, I was a gear ...... I slowed down. I have a ton and I am still $400 ahead after 5 months. I could easily vape the next year for about $30 on another nic order. That means ALL supplies.

I am challenging myself a bit now. I have 4 APVs, a telescope, kgos, reos, etc. I will NOT have a gear failure that means I need to spend anything. Time for me to save some real money.

Last week I stopped at the gas station by work. The manager was worried about me because she used to see me just about daily. That is my other point...I have saved many hundreds on gum, chips, and pop that I don't buy "because I am already at the gas station getting smokes". My $400 above has an EASY $500 more saved in junk I didn't buy.

Eric, this is totally off topic, but by freestyle do you mean, like, Miami bass and stuff? You have to know what I'm talking about. The boom-chee-boom-chee, boom-chee-boom-chee. I have never heard of TKA, Lil Suzy, or Coro, but I love Stevie B. "Spring love, come back to me" and "Diamond Girl"... THAT Stevie B? I was in Florida during the '99-2000 heyday of electro, Miami bass, and the "Orlando/Florida" sound.

Does DJ Icey, DJ Baby Anne, Huda Hudia, Sharaz, DJ X, etc., ring a bell? If not, we're probably talking about two different things.

That Stevie B song is Freestyle my friend. I'm from the Miami area well just north, Hollywood beach, Broward. Freestyle music is a different genre than Miami Bass which actually started in the 80's. Remember Sally that girl by gucci crew II? The whole having 12 inch subs in your car started in South Florida. DJ Baby Anne is awesome, I consider her more break beat. When I think Miami Bass I think of all the old bass wars tapes, DJ Magic Mike, DJ Laz, Mc ADE, tech master peb.

Play the link on my signature that is a freestyle song. That is awesome though you know about the Miami sound my friend.

okay, so i am wondering what is the most frugal way that you think a person can vape AND be satisfied.
I see plenty of people who are still using their simple starter kit, and then DIY juice pretty early on or are vaping their original dekang juice or some low cost juice they started with early on.

Others get more into the hobby aspect and buy a lot of hardware and try a lot of juice.

I don't think it's a matter of you get what you pay for entirely. I think it's more like "you get what *YOU* get out of the vaping experience"..........and that is different for everyone. :)

@ Eric: "Whooooaoooah, Sally, whew, that girl!"

Yep. I know that song. So we're talking serious 80's old school. I always associated freestyle with DJ record scratching.

Two different genres my friend which I love dearly. I appreciate your knowledge. Knowing Stevie B Spring love is awesome.

Funny how things come full circle.

The things we liked, enjoyed, obsessed over back in the 80's are now cool again. I remember the Jenko Jeans/bell-bottom craze in high school back in 1995-1996.

Well, can I name drop some more? Scratching: Invisible Skratch Pickelz (I know I spelled it wrong), Mix Master Mike, The X-Ecutioners, Money Mark, Cold Cut., etc.

This being said: It's time for the perculator.

We did kinda hijack this thread, didn't we? Sincerely sorry, Mods!

Was fun talking about the music though. I miss the old days bro. Kabonks post about diy and vivi novas got me back to reality haha.

I mostly make diy for unflavored, I know boring but I go through dead taste buds alot, it saves me alot. I've been rebuilding my vivi novas for a little while now. I was able to get a 100 foot roll of kanthal for about 10 bucks which is awesome. Remember guys ebay is the place for kanthal.

If you want to vape cheap, and that's all that matters...

1) Making your own juice will save the most money
2) Get a good inexpensive APV that takes replaceable batteries
3) Get a good inexpensive rebuildable atomizer

doubt there is any way to get any cheaper than that.

I must agree with this ... Can't get a cheaper & decent Vape then this.. Obviously set up may vary ... But then again , vaping is something that I love " for it's pleasure that I get from it + the gedget bit that I also love" so why go cheap IMO .... Some juice and mods are over priced " and I'm more then sure ull fine loads out there that are!! But some are worth the value for that great Vape and craftsmanship !.
