Hey guys,
just curious........

I'm finding that I like vaping indoors more than I used to like smoking indoors.....

but outside... not so sure... especially on a windy day.... or a rainy day... or just sitting there on the deck...

... makes me miss analogs all of a sudden..

Any comments? Like to hear your thoughts please.

thank you,

g

I think I still find that "something is missing" when I vape outdoors, although I'm kinda getting more used to it. Going outside was part of that whole smoking ritual since we had quit smoking indoors 12 or so years ago. It was associated with taking a break, relaxing, watching nature, fresh air, the beginning and end of a cigarette, and often had a "timer" aspect to it, i.e. 10 minutes give or take. Soooo, yeah, that whole thing was one of the things I most have missed about smoking. To be honest, though, I can't say that going outside to smoke when it was cold, windy, raining or snowing, etc., was very pleasant - I did it because I was addicted and felt I had to....

As I get more used to vaping - and find it to be less and less like smoking - I am enjoying it much more for what it is, as well as missing "what it isn't" less and less.

As for smoking indoors - I was very happy to have our indoors a "smoke free" place even when I was still smoking. Stale smoke, residue, stinky dirty ashtrays, errant ashes, holes in things, pets having to deal with the air pollution, etc. - really, these were NOT a pleasant part of the smoking habit.

Would have quoted text but on my phone.

It took a while to get used to vaping outdoors. And I'm there a lot lol! But as long as my brain knows it's getting what my body needs I'm good to go.

For me it's a mental thing. And I like it now. Especially when I get behind a good wind block and get a huge cloud lol!

From nowhere to the world. Thanks taptalk!

I do it sometimes myself, it is a different experience.

However last November, when I began vaping, I was glad not to have to run outside every 20-30 miuntes (regardless of weather) to smoke. Because my bones are eat up with arthritis, the cold & damp weather causes lingering issues, long after I return indoors.

Yes it's different, but still I'd take my vape over an analog any day.

I know for a fact that I vape a heck of lot more than I smoked. I really don't miss going outside at all. I still go out with my son when he smokes (working on that). I still keep my tooter close by even when I'm in the shower. Vapor or fog? I don't know. I have not smoked inside the house since I had to paint the walls, so vaping is wonderful for me. Good luck to ya and happy vaping. :)

It bugged me when I was started. At work, I'd take about 3 smoke breaks during an 8 hour shift. When I converted to vaping, I threw all my cigarettes away.. I figured work would be stressful, but going outside helped. I knew I could use them indoors, but I just had to satisfy that part of the equation. Vaping outside really did the trick. Nowadays, I prefer to stay in as much as possible. Arizona is Satan's playground for the next five months, Damn you if I go outside!

hmmm...I'm in the middle I guess.

I still go outside on breaks at work....take a walk by the river (also b/c "tobacco" (yes + vaping) is banned on property (yes I still stealth vape inside when not on break))
I also take public transportation or walk, so I'm outside quite a bit on a daily basis, and I enjoy vaping while out and about.

At home however, I never smoked inside....My apartment backs to a large park/natural area and I have a nice balcony w/comfy chairs. I used to sit out there to smoke, read, internet, whatever... I was realizing just the other day I hardly ever go out there anymore, certainly not just to vape. Maybe now that the weather's nicer I will? maybe?

I tend to not vape outdoors. I don't count at work because most employers don't seem to give an option there. Being able to avoid the elements has been one of my favorite parts to vaping. I still drive with a window cracked down 90% of the time but on days it's less than perfect ill roll the windows up. My point being I don't have to be hot, cold, wet etc to get my fix :) why would I get up from my couch where I've settled in?

I only smoked indoors in winter when I could blow smoke up the fireplace chimney. Now, I vape indoors daily. Outdoors took some getting used to. The visual effect was lacking, but the flavor was there. I have forced myself to vape at all times when I used to smoke: mowing grass, walking, piddling. I am used to it now and enjoy it as much as I previously enjoyed smoking outdoors. I still vape less than I smoked outdoors.
