I dont if it annoys people or if it would of annoyed me, ie: kids, food etc. I read a study though that tested the nicotine in second hand vapour as well as vapeing in a enclosed metal room that resulted in the amount of nicotine cusumed in second hand vapour quite small. It equaled out to about 300 directly exhaled vapes stright into another persons inhale to add up to one piece of smokers gum. Still its nice to be considering of others, just because you can doesnt mean you always should sort of thing lol. :):)

I would never smoke a cigarette in the house or car, we have a 2 year old and a 4 year old.

I will not vape in the car, but I do vape in the house.

I use my PV in the kitchen (when the kids are in the lounge). I also use my PV in the lounge once the kids go to bed.

The only time I do vape (used to smoke) around/near the kids is outdoors.

Everyone has there own way of doing things, this way works for me.

As for out and about I only vape in places where I would usually smoke (mainly outdoors).

Your fear of second-hand nicotine is unfounded...
--Studies show there really isn't much
--Even if there were, it's not as addictive as you think
--Even if there were, it might just be good for them

I can drop a bunch of links here to support all of the above.
But instead of wasting time with all that, I'll just reply with links upon request.
:)

If I had children, which I don't, I can't say whether or not I would vape around them.
But if I didn't, my reasons would have nothing to do with second-hand nicotine.

Hi,
I have been a vaper for more than 2 years now. I initially felt that vaping indoors was ok, Now i am not sure if its the right thing to do especially with kids and others around. Second hand smoke has does contain nicotine. Please share Your thoughts and comments on this.
Thanks

I read up a little bit on this before I started vaping. Basically what I found is that second hand vape has none of the effects on complete blood count or inflammation that cigarettes do. Plus, the chemical profile of what is inhaled by the vaper is much more similar to the nicorette style inhaler than a cigarette. Basically, your kid probably has more nicotine and chemicals on their apple or other fruits and vegetables.

Vaping indoors and vaping around kids is two completely different topics. Plus you wanna talk about vaping indoors and then bring up second hand smoke. Not really certain if you mean second hand vape or what exactly. I almost sense a troll topic just trying to get a high reply count thread.

Get a high reply count and achieve what?, if you think this is a troll just move on.
And thanks to everyone who responded :)

I vape in the house, in the car, in the office... even in the shops if there's no one looking. :)

I don't concern myself with the negligible amounts of nicotine in my second hand vapor. The only time I worry about vaping is when it is an issue of courtesy, i.e. crowded restaurant, movie theatres, etc.

The same goes for around children-- while i'm not worried about the health effects of them inhaling second-hand vapor-- I am worried about the image it portrays to the child. The last thing I would ever wish on a parent is to have a child that emulates me. :)

My wife and I weighed the known "issues" of 2nd hand vape and we concluded that there doesn't seem to be any serious concerns about vaping indoors with the kids present.
Now, we don't fill the room with vapor or vape when we're having face-to-face time with the kids such as when the little one is sitting on my lap watching videos or sitting at the table as we play "Go Fish" or whatever, but I will admit... my 3 year old son thinks vapor filled bubbles are the greatest thing on the planet!
He loves tomatoes, eggplant and peppers and will eat them by the bowlful so nicotine from my vapor filled bubbles is insignificant as far as I can reason, being we vape 6mg.
If in the future it turns out there are known and conclusively proven health concerns with children and vapor, then we'll take the vaping sessions outside or in the kitchen with the exhaust fan running.
As far as I've been able to see, there are known benefits to PG vapor in indoor air. When the kids aren't around, we probably have the healthiest indoor air than anybody else in the neighborhood!
