Has anyone elses patterns changed from when they smoked analogs?

The first thing I would need to do when I woke up or ate was go outside and smoke a cigarette, but now really don't have that immediate urge with vaping. I'm guessing the other chemicals/carcinogens from tobacco had a much bigger influence on me than the nicotine.

really the only part of my routine that has changed is that I dont smoke analogs. To me, replicating the same behaviours places where you would normally reach for an analog is the way to go about ridding yourself of them. Others may say differently, but for me thats the ticket.

That was a natural trigger for my brain I guess from smoking analogs for so long, but after awhile it has really just faded away.

just to add: the biggest thing for me in quitting was the actual habit of smoking in general. The biggest attraction for me to vaping was that I could still technically 'smoke' and the added bonus was getting the nicotine so when I quit the analogs I didnt experience withdrawal. I've withdrawn off of other drugs as well but I'd been smoking cigs for the longest of anything so having experienced withdrawals off of other drugs I wasnt particularily stoked about the fact that I would need to face the same thing that had been a part of my life for so long it had sort of become part of me.

I tried everything you can think of- laser surgery, acupuncture, gum, the patch (the strongest dose) ect and NONE of them worked even remotely for me.

I tried vaping and liked it, enough that I began to cut back on my cig intake to the point where I was having one a week. I couldnt seem to get lower than that, then I realized I wasnt doing the same routine as I normally would have when using analogs. I guess its different for everyone but for me that was the ticket- relating the vaping to the same behaviours I enjoyed when having an analog.

I deliberately vape in the the same patterns that I smoked. for this post - 10 or so puffs session = one analogue.

Around 3 in the morning with coffee and a few eps of whichever is my morning downloaded tv series before showering and leaving for work.

One or two breaks at work where I go outside to to do it.

About 4 in the evening watching tv or a movie before bed.

That way I don't stealth vape on the bus and subway or in the office which is just too easy to do and leads to pointless chain vaping.

So workdays around .5ml a day

At weekends same pattern as with analogues - as much as I like whenever I feel like it if out at a bar, if not, then after a meal, or one or two if walking about town shopping or general 'flaneuring.'

When I first started I found myself chain vaping like I had ocdc and realized it was just because I could lol. So I decided to keep it off my person and treat it like in the same pattern as i used to with analogues.

Also of course if a but stressed after say a long queue at the bank and hassle with a clerk or something, have a few relaxing puffs.

Morning = menthol 100% love it, refreshing, clean, stimulating.

Daytime = virgina tobacco

Evenings usally tobacco or mess around with a few new flavors,

All 6mg only

Weekends if at bar, usually an 11mg stronger tasting tobacco flavor as 6mg doesn't cut through the beer ha ha

I don't time or count Vapes as puffs just don't care, I Vape whenever I can. That being said mu usual triggers ie getting up in the morn was followed by a smoke, now I just stay in bed intil I have to get up do my thing then Vape until I can't anymore.

Or if I'm out having a meal somewhere after meal I couldn't wait to get outside for a smoke, now I have desert then leave with everyone else I'm with then Vape until I can't anymore.

I no longer get the urge or whatever it's called that I need a smoke or Vape, I Vape while awake whenever I can, not because I must but because I truly enjoy it, and love my NEW freedom from my OLD addiction.

Humans are creatures of habits. I am the same exact way as I was when I smoked those dirty things. I wake up for work at 3:30 AM. I then proceed to stumble and body check my wall before my bathroom. I then find myself in the kitchen fixing a pot of coffee and reaching for my Vamo or Beast Box whichever is closer and vape away. If my tank doesn't have my morning vape in it (HHV's Dragon's Fire) it will ruin my whole morning. It's weird but it's true. I am so used to this pattern after 2 years that anything else would be beyond strange. I'm thankful for that though. I don't have to walk into work at 5 and smell like I dove into an ash tray.

I'm actually vaping less than I normally would smoke and no clue why. I don't know if it's cause I'm not entirely in love with the juice I have right now or the fact my teeth ache now that I'm not smoking. Hoping both these issues kind of stop soon.

You should probably see a dentist. Something in cigarette smoke seems to calm nerves in your mouth, hiding existing problems. When you switch to vaping those nerves wake up and the problem becomes more apparent.

Oh I know I need to see one, just don't have the 1,000 to fix the problems they want and due to the horrid almost life threatening experience with the discounted state dentist I refuse to go back to them. Know of any type of mouth wash that might help lessen the aches perhaps?

I used to have a cigarette first thing when I woke up.

And then I would have another around mid-morning on my first work break.
And then I would have one at lunch.
And then I would have one on my mid-afternoon break.
And then I would have one after work.

And then I may have one or two in the evening after work with a few alcoholic beverages before dinner.
Might be wine, might be beer, might be margaritas, might be something else.

Now I usually don't even vape until late in the afternoon.
And often not even until after work when I have those couple of alcoholic beverages.

In the end, it seems it's really all down to the alcoholic beverages, and why that is I'm not sure.
I think it may be having something to fiddle with while I'm relaxing and unwinding.

For sensitive teeth try Sensodine tooth paste. Also Listerine Zero (milder than normal Listerine and no alcohol) helps with bleeding gums. Beyond that it would help to know specific symptoms.

Get yourself to the dentist.

I learned the hard way that the longer you leave it the more expensive and physically painful it will end up in the long run.

Hotwire - owner of two crowns, one gold tooth, sufferer through two painful root canals and one wisdom tooth extraction .

Get thee to the dentist, spend less on juice or lattes or something for a few months. :)

Ah trust me if I could afford the dentist I'd go. Missing almost all the molars on the bottom of my mouth both sides. The last 2 need to be pulled they are basically too far gone to save.
On top, from canine to canine all those too have to go and I need a bridge. Lady I saw last year who worked for the state, pulled a top molar and opened my sinus cavity and I was hospitalized because I had the worst sinus infection of my life. I'm trying to quit smoking so I have some extra money but you're talking to someone still struggling at poverty level and below. Bad dental care growing up and now I just can't afford the dentist so I'm stuck with trying pain reducing alternatives.

(sorry for the longish reply)
I got quoted by a normal dentist it would be 5K to pull all my teeth and get me dentures. I don't want to do that but the next best thing is removing at least 8 teeth that are not saveable, getting a bridge and capping the rest of my teeth and that's well over 5K. I've looked everywhere an I just can't afford the dentist and my state only offers free cleanings under state insurance.
