read through this quiz

seems like it is completely designed to misrepresent vapors with the way the questions and answer choices are worded

Makes it look like we are all vapor pushers

Did not appear to have any positive outcome for vaping and appears to be aimed at non-smokers and non-vapors to try and get more fodder for banning ecigs

here are his employers

•Department for Energy and Climate Change
•Welsh Government
•UNEP Sudan
•Environment Agency
•Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit – Cabinet Office

•ASH – Action on Smoking and Health

•International Institute for Energy Conservation (Europe)

•Greenpeace
•Imperial College
•IBM (UK) Ltd
•Emmanuel College, Cambridge

ASH - wants to ban anything and everything remotely related to smoking or vaping and is actually has a celebration scroll on its web site for the New York Ban

As I stated before this quiz is for getting more numbers of people to ban vaping as it appears to me

A little homework for you Jim

As Orb said, Clive is 100% behind us vapers. The quiz isn't targeted specifically at us I think, and I suspect is designed as much to expose the misinformation and prejudices against vaping held by the general public.

Still, Clive actively uses any and all evidence he can gather to further our cause so please take the time to participate if you can!

Oh, and Clive at the ECF summit :)

Took the quiz. I didn't know snus was banned in Europe. How stupid. There is no risk to any innocent bystanders and it's been proven not to be detrimental to users. The carcinogens contained in it is at such a low level they practically don't matter. What gives?

It is a big pile of dumb at this stage (I can see where they were coming from 20 years ago, now though we have a lot more data available...), but in practise it isn't that bad at least here in the UK - you just have to order online.

Also, it is far from proven safe. It's just *a lot* safer than smoking.

It causes gum recession and tooth discolouration in heavy users, and is considered very addictive.

It's linked to high blood pressure and possibly increases risk of fatal heart attacks / stroke. According to a few studies (at least one of which is large) it has a significant risk of pancreatic cancer. Some have linked it to mouth / oesophagal cancer, though that's more disputed.

It depends very much what your frame of reference is, doesn't it... If those warnings were on my breakfast cereal, I'd probably lose my appetite. As an alternative to smoking, doesn't sound too bad.

I don't know what the politics of that one were nor are but the outcome is flat evil. I understand the use of snus by men in Sweden instead of smoking saw lung cancer rates fall like a rock. It's not a health food certainly but fewer deaths is always better.

Or at least I thought. Maybe I'm crazy...

Going back to find the links I wanted, I can see we have had this discussion before.
Clearly, we are going to agree to disagree, so I'll just leave this link for others who have not seen this discussion yet.

The pancreatic cancer thing is very much in dispute, as are most of the other things you mentioned as far as I know...

Looks like everyone must be trying to take the quiz at the exact same time.
