I had several rituals associated with smoking as I'm sure we all did. Packing a fresh pack by slapping it against your wrist before taking out the first one, flipping one upside down as a "wish" or "lucky" cig that was smoked last, and I had a habit of rubbing or "flicking" the filter of a cig with my thumb before lighting it after lighting up more than I'd like to admit backwards in the dark, or after a few drinks.

So now I've noticed some rituals that I've acquired since starting vaping. I always take a few unheated drags and "prime" my wicks before taking an actual fired drag after not vaping for a few minutes. I catch myself gently biting on my drip tip with my front teeth, or rolling it back and forth on my bottom lip while reading something online, or watching something. I also have a (dumb, I know) habit of licking my fingers a bit (not like a cat cleaning itself, more like a dab to the tongue with my finger) after filling a tank.

I'm strange, I know lol. What are some "rituals" that you've started since turning to vaping that you never did when you smoked?

I can't really think of much apart from how i exhale the vapor. I definatly make more or a show of it than i did when i smoked. For example when i am drinking i have been told i always blow the vapor out of the corner of my mouth or out my nose. But I think that is more to do with not blowing vapor in peoples faces when talking to them...

Oww and when i am standing in a queue i will hold my vamo by the end and tab it against my chest...I tend to be holding onto it whenever i go, never goes in the pocket :p

I miss packing against my steering wheel, then removing the foil, and aluminum, placing both in my pocket, putting the first out of the pack in my lips, pressing in the clutch to start the car, then drive way too fast to make up for waiting in line to buy cigarettes. Now, I just pick the mod of the day before I brush my teeth, fill up the tank, brush n' go. I'm never late for work now.

I got in to one habit for a while, but at some point I noticed it was getting on my wife's nerves so I more or less stopped (occasionally still catch myself doing it, but for the most part I got it under control).

REO's have doors that slide up and down and are held in place by rare earth magnets. Giving the door on a metal REO a swipe with your thumb (or catch the squonk hole with your thumb on a woodville and give it a little flick) makes it slide up and gravity brings it back down --- it makes a noise "schlik - schlik... schlik - schlik".

I've read a few other REO users saying they got in that same habit... I don't know if anyone else decided to try to break that habit or not, but I've been relatively successful.

Other than that, I can't think of anything. In fact, I attribute some of my success stopping smoking with the fact I left my smoking rituals behind. Some of those little mental things were more difficult than anything.

hmmmm mine are rather mundane and uninteresting

I absolutely refuse to go to bed at night until I top off all my REO bottles and clearos, Give all my drip tips a good cleaning with rubbing alcohol and set up my PCC for the next days errand running.

I always vape a strong menthol in the morning to wake me up and a sweet dessert vape after supper. Mostly fruits the rest of the day but those 2 are sacrosanct.

Partyanimal you are the first person I have run into since high school (other than myself) who did the flip the first cig in the pack and smoke it last as a wish cig.

The only ritual I have is just a silly little one. At each harvest moon I go to hollowed ground. I place my provari facing west. I sacrifice a Chinese mod on the alter of Provape then dance naked to Harry Chapins Wild World.

Im sure this is pretty normal and no surprise and lots of other vapors do the same thing ;-)
