Hello there, I just started vaping recently... I gotta say my experience with my ecig has been great. I was really worried about "all hell breaking loose" at first. Since I've tried quitting analogs many many times before without success. And this week went by like a breeze. (If only I had known!) The only real issue I seem to be having is with my sister. Every chance she gets, she's vaping my ecig. Which is great that shes showing a interest. But I only planned on having just enough for myself. Plus, she's a heavier smoker then I am as well... Which means my battery and juice dies off quickly when she is around. Today, she vaped until both my main and backup battery died. So I ended up having to charge both. This for me, meant I was stuck without a nicotine fix. :( So I did what I always used to do, and rolled myself a cigarette. I didn't even make it half way through either. By the time I was done, I was queezy. I just can't believe how horrible it smelt, how bad it tasted, and how it made me feel. Now, if only I could do something about my sister... ;)

Congrats on the switch!

About your sister though, I'd point her in the direction of here or at the very least, where you got your set up and encourage her to get her own, she's tried it and knows she can use it so what's stopping her, or if she has a birthday or another occasion coming up, perhaps get her a starter kit. Just an idea

Or just buy a lot more stuff.

It takes running out a time or to to really learn to have extras of everything. You don't need to put together an "i can vape for the rest of my life on a desert island with no internet or mail service" kit, but…………I've always had about 30ml of juice available……then like 50ml………today, I ordered like 200ml of juice and an extra charger as my "starting to stock back up" phase with like 30ml left, and I'll probably order more before the week is out.

And, yeah, get her on vaping too. Fortunately, it seems like you get nicotine slower with vaping than with smoking, so it's easier to take a break while your batteries charge.

Also……people don't advise taking batteries off a charger half way through a charge cycle……it's bad for them and might be able to lead to a failure……but I do it. Don't blame me if you do it and one blows up or something, but I've definitely done that before and probably will again.

Glad to hear everything is going well with your ecig experiance!.

I will say the more you get into it the more kit you end up buying!. When I first started I was initialy going to make sure I never spent more than I smoked....hmmmmm that lasted long.... not  ... but on the positive side now, I have the kit I need and I wont need to buy much of anything for a while with the exception of juice.

Maybe you could suggest a starter kit for your sis?...

All the best! :toast:

With what you think is just enough equipment to get you by disaster is just a fried battery charger away. Or a dead battery, spilt juice, etc. Good luck with the journey and if all else fails hide from your sister for awhile.

I haven't started a "stock pile", but I was afraid of running out. So I got about 30+ ml of everything I needed. (Except the two flavors I currently have from Perfumer's Apprentice.) With the expectation of it at least lasting the month. Sis, however isn't into the idea of DIY. So she would be using pre-filled once she has a setup I guess? As a very heavy smoker, I'm hoping she'll be able to make something work for her.

Add to the fact that there are so many options available that you can purchase... :p

Also, you don't have to go nuts. I was only in the red when I was buying gas station disposables to deal with long shipping times from Mistic e-Cigs and also smoking cigarettes. I stabilized and when I was in the black enough, I ordered my Twist stuff. Now, I'm planning on staying in the black.

It's really not bad……especially if you manage to skip the disposable stage or get out of it quickly. A GGTS–for example–is only a few cartons of cigarettes worth of money……A Provari is less……stabilize to the point where you have a month or two reservoir of juice and then just don't buy carp you don't care about for a month or so. If you were a PAD smoker, it builds up quick as long as you don't go crazy buying every single thing that someone likes.
