Been vaping for 12 days. The Up Side of it is that I'm totally off of tobacco. I don't desire nor crave it anymore. I initially started with a Firelight (M401) model and decided to get a BB from AltSmoke. No looking back here. I wouldn't have thought I would like any flavor other than a tobacco or menthol. Boy was I wrong. I'm going to ween myself down from nicotine levels and eventually just vape 0mg juices before going completely off.

The Down Side is that this is 10 times better and more addicting than cigarettes ever were or could ever dream of being. It's a whole new world of pleasure and addiction. The thought of a tobacco cigarette is repulsive. That is 100% sincere. Dry mouth and sinuses are another Down Side but I hear this will pass.

Curious about others experiences. I only wish I would have discovered this 10 years ago.

Happy Vapes to you.

With a regular cig , subconsciously I believe that I stopped using it sometime out of knowing it was awful for me.Lets face it, Tonto knew sucking on the smoke of a fire was bad .Now with an ecig there is a lot less guilt in using it and it never has to be lit or thrown away, so its a lot more accessable.Ecigs cause some immediate side effects that smoking won't cause a seasoned smokers a lot of the time.Ecig flavors are so above and beyond regular smokes there is no comparison for me.Ecigs are a pain in everyone wants to try yours where the same person would never ask you to share a regular smoke with them.

I couldn't have said that any better! There absolutely is no looking back. It's been more than 3 months for me and it still continues to get better and better and the true "pleasure" and enjoyment I get from vaping has not faded but I find it actually enhances my day.

For many, they thought that this would be just another passing "fad" for me but I have already proven to myself and them that this is far from true.

I really, really love vaping and because I know in my heart that it is sooooooo much safer and better than analogs, I will vape and vape and vape to my hearts content.

I've been off the analogs for over 8 months now. Never felt or selt better. The only down side ... you know I have difficulty thinking of any real downsides.

Oh yea, the downside is the Chinese attys. The Chinese quality control just ain't there yet. I am really looking forward to a US company producing a reliable long lasting atty.

My little chart thingie at the bottom of this post will indicate how long I've been off tobacco.

Upside: See little chart thingie. As a result, I feel fantastic. No nasty smell, no coughing, and I have alot more "lung." I still run short of breath after heavy exertion, but that's probably scar tissue (pneumonia, asthma). Oh well. I can vape in places where I could never smoke, i.e., workplace. I'm way ahead financially, as well. (See little chart thingie.)

Downside: E-cigs are "fiddly," and require alot of maintenance and cleaning. Also, I still haven't figured out when I'm "done vaping," as these things don't burn down to the filter.

That's interesting you posted that. I am just beginning, actually I have placed but haven't received my first order yet. I was just wondering how do you know when to quit vaping? Since it has no definitive end like a cigarette I'm afraid I will just vape and vape until my cartomizer runs out or I make my self sick on nicotine.

Most analogs last 10-15 puffs, I try and leave it at that unless I'm having real bad nic fits. True you don't have that last satisfying puff but in the long run, who cares?

Upsides are the health and financial benefits. Downside are the attacks by the FDA and others around the world.

BTW don't know if this is everyone's experience, but mine is that after a while vaping takes on its own rhythm so that you really do know when to put it down.

Its not as rigid as cigarettes though. There were times when I was smoking that I really only wanted a couple of good puffs, other times when maybe 3.5 cigarettes would have hit that spot. Truthfully when I really only needed the couple of puffs, I would usually finish the whole cigarette anyway.

Then there are times when I just need to pacify. Its a thing to do with my hands that also lets me zone out staring at smoke. Usually that is when I need a "time out" from work issues, just that few minutes to collect my thoughts. I can vape at zero nick and still get that "fix".

Total versatility...another major UP side:)

Oh and here is one that I personally love. When you light a cigarette, that first puff can taste like what you it it with, or it can be a bit dry. The second puff is the best puff of the whole cigarette, its full flavored, moist, and not too hot. Not to mention its the one that hits that "craving" spot. Every subsequent puff is going south. It never gets quite that good again.
Once I got all the learning curves out of the way with equipment and juices, every puff was and is that second puff. HUGE upside
