Hi all new vaper here and had a quick question to see if any one else has experienced something like this. I've been vaping for about a month and a half and quickly moved from my menthol basics to the yummy world of sweets. I know nicotine is an appetite suppressant but I find myself having gone entire mornings where I have not had actual food because when I crave something sweet I have been grabbing my e-cig! I vape at a very low nic level, (typically 6-8 mg) but was concerned about the prolonged use of grabbing the sweet vape instead of indulging my sweet tooth? I'm not trying to necessarily loose weight, and I always stay hydrated but wondered if any one had gone through something similar? Thanks in advance for the help!

Now that you mention it, since I have been vaping, more so in the last few months, I have noticed my "sweets" intake has pretty much gone down to nothing. It was nothing for me to have something like a Swiss Cake Roll after dinner or just as a snack. But I do vape flavors like Orange Sherbet, Cinnamon Roll, Fruit Punch, etc. I wonder if vaping sweet flavors is taking the place of my "sweet" snacks? I guess it is possible our bodies can switch from actual sweets to sweet vapor and still feel that sweet tooth is satisfied.

I am new also and I am definitely eating less sweets. I've found sweet ejuices, like irish cream or praline, that curb my afternoon sugar cravings. I have a few snack size Snickers that are still sitting on my desk after a month, and that has never happened before. This replacement therapy will really save me in November when I usually overindulge in all the leftover Halloween candy around the house.

Yea now that you mention it I have been doing that. I have trouble keeping weight on anyway. Try a savory type of vapor. Not so sweet.
Some of them actually make me hungry. i won't make a recommendation on flavor because what works for me probably won't work for you.
One of the goals is to be healthier.
Just make sure breakfast is not one you skip. That truly is the most important meal of the day. Dinner especially late one not so much.
I'm only weeks in and i have done 10 I'd guess.
Losing your sweet tooth is a good thing. I know dentists and doctors would love that.

I have noticed I don't eat as much. Nicotine does curb my hunger, and since I'm just starting out, I still have the 24mg liquid, but I'm liking the 18mg more and more as an all-day Vape. But 24 in the morning!
And I also have gone without sweets. My camel ejuice is kinda sweet, and the German Chocolate Cake I have is like candy. Works great before bed. I think I'll start keeping track of my weight though... Don't want to loose weight too fast because that is unhealthy. I know I've been eating less since I started.

I noticed since I have entirely switched to vaping the last 2 days, i have not snacked even close to as much as usual. Couple of candy corn pieces and a snack size snickers peanut butter, that's it. Otherwise just eating like normal, and vaping Pure MI(Apple/strawberry) and RY4(caramel/tobacco) from Mister-E liquid.

One thing I have noticed is I drink more coffee. I always had 2 cups every morning for 10 yuears plus , now I have three- plus one in the afternoon and sometimes even one in the evening. It's 85 degrees what is wrong with me?

This is interesting. I've been vaping mostly tobacco flavor with a few drops of vanilla, but I might try this... too much coffee in my life :)
This whole thing with sweet flavors calming down sweet tooth is something I'm going to try definitely. So far I haven't been interested, but now - thank you, forum:)

Apropos topic, well, as long as we don't gain pounds, everything is ok (and we won't because nicotine supresses appetite. I also didn't get any pounds when I was chewing those NRT gums, but they didn't help me lose tobacco, except temporarily)

Alright guys, what is wrong with me? I know nicotine is supposed to be an appetite suppressant..and everyone seems to have cutdown on their sweets intake. NOT the case with me! My appetite has increased 10 fold since I quit smoking and turned to full on vaping.Which is ok for me since I could stand to gain 10-15 pounds. I just find is strange that I'm going in the opposite direction here.

it might be that you two regained sense of smell all too well and everything is more delicious now, of course

However, a few pounds don't mean the end of the world.

I was referring to a real weight gain (like mine in 2004-2005, when I quit cold turkey and stayed like that for almost two years, but gained 30 pounds and was dangerously approaching depression. Later I started smoking again and everything was back to my then version of normal; I lost most of the pounds mentioned, but not all). Now, I've been vaping 18mg tobacco e-liquid for months and my weight stays the same, no changes whatsoever.)
