Last night, while watching one of the greatest Superbowl games of all time, I took note of something. I was watching the game at same place where I watched first game of the regular season in 2013, or about 5 months earlier. I remember that first game as it was Packers (the good guys) against 49ers and it was still summer. So, at this friend's house who has like 7 TV's around, all showing NFL, most of the people were outside, smoking away. Myself included (I be a dual user). I'd estimate there was about 2 packs smoked among the group during that first game of the season.
Last night was nearly the same group, and by end of the game there was less than 5 cigarette butts in the ashtrays outside. Now how would that be possible if all these same people, just 5 months ago, couldn't wait to get outside and watch NFL while smoking? Even considering that everyone there would be labeled a smoker. Especially considering that everyone there, last night, was very much enjoying nicotine? In fact, me vaping at 18 mg, was the lightweight in the group. Yep, almost everyone there last night had done turned into vapers. And all of them are still dual users. But at least 2 of us, myself included, are now pack a month smokers.
It was such a great sight to see, as I really wasn't expecting that. I had a hand in 2 of the people converting but as I saw both of those people a month ago and they were still more smoker than vaper, I would've thought that might still be the case. Instead, it was clearly a room filled with people who are now more vaper than smoker, and it was a time to rejoice.
